This game does seem to take up a lot of memory for some reason. What I get is a "lag" with my cursor for a bit, then it catches back up. Annoying, but not enough to stop playing it.

Today's game (10/19), Three Cards to Midnight, is an exceptional HOG-type game with much more to it than your average HOG. (Just as Yogi was smarter than your average Bear. Lol!) This one will really "grab" you, to solve the mystery therein. One of the best games I've ever played. Grab it! :)

It certainly is an intriguing game!
I see that many others have trouble with the little videos too, so am simply skipping those(as the chapter recaps at the end, anyway)
I LOVE the word games, and the other mini games as well as the HOG parts!
I think it gets pretty dark but hey, I played both Ravenhearsts and survived so this shouldn't be bad...
Are you finished it, midori?
I am only on chapter 2..Posted 15 years ago # -
Hi, Merri... I played it quite awhile back (bought it at BigFish), so don't quite remember the chapters. Too bad the videos are skipping, tho I don't remember their importance! (Have I been playing too many games lately??...) If your screen is too dark, make sure you lighten up the brightness and contrast on your monitor. I have to do that with most HOG games, sometimes to the max! Then switch it back when you're on to something else. Have fun! :)

Hi midori!
I think the little videos aren't crucial, and there is a recap at the conclusion of each chapter so I can still follow the plot..
I was skipping them(they weren't skipping but the voices were terribly distorted, as others have mentioned)
Yes I have to lighten up for HOG games too!
thanks!

You know, it never occurred to me to change my screen's brightness/contrast for HOGs. Thanks for the tip, Midori!

It'll make a huge difference in most cases, Maud! :)

Could someone please tell me how to uninstall a gamehous game? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Posted 15 years ago # -
Just go to Add/Remove (Programs and Features in Vista) and uninstall from there.

Misty, if you have Revo Uninstaller, DON'T use it for Gamehouse games. It removes too much and then you can't download any more games. Use the Add/Remove feature instead as Dragon suggested.

I have used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall a couple of GameHouse games, and have not had a problem with downloading/installing other games since. One of the frustrating things about computers is that it seems like almost every piece of software behaves differently on each different system, depending on what else you have installed, and they interact in ways that you could never predict! I used the default 'moderate' option in uninstalling; there are three others, including one which uninstalls more. I don't know if that is the difference in the results we got?
In any case, I guess using Revo might not be safe for someone who hasn't used it on GameHouse games yet, since you don't know which result you will get.

I just used revo uninstaller to try to randomly uninstall 6 gamehouse games and a small window poped up each time with the message that the games had no installation package but to go to c:/Gamehouse Games/ and delete the game folder manually.
When using Revo Uninstaller to remove programs, do not check any boxes next to lines that are not in bold print. Instead click on the + sign to the left of the box to open the next level. Sometimes you will have to do this several times until you see the name of the game in bold print. I have uninstalled many games this way and have never had a problem.
I hope this information is helpful.Posted 15 years ago # -
Today's game is the smallest I have ever downloaded. The whole download took about 2 minutes.

I just said to not use Revo Installer for Gamehouse games and guess what I did? Fortunately I realized it and cancelled before it got to the additional files.

Hi everyone who answered my question about uninstalling gamehouse games. Thanks for all your help. I am using Windows XP SP2. I went to Add/Remove Programs as suggested, but the gamehouse games are not listed there for removal. What do I do now? How do I remove them? I can't understand why they are not showing in Add/Remove programs. I also have Revo Uninstaller and they are not listed there either.
Posted 15 years ago # -
Hi, mistyann... I've noticed that also. I think programs don't recognize them because they're "standalones," or all-inclusive in one folder. I simply take the file folder for the game (found where they install to) and trash or delete it. That seems to remove the whole thing.

Misty, forgive me if you already know this but if you're not sure where to find it, right click on the icon for the game on your desktop and click Properties on the drop down mention. That will give you the path where the file installed. You can then use Windows Explorer or whatever the equivalent is to go to that file and delete it.

Thanks to both of you for your help. Have a good evening.

Also everyone else who helped me. It was really appreciated.

Does anybody know what tomorrow's game is? They seem to have revised the site and I don't see it now. Today is Password.

Well it's been 4 days and no one working at Gamehouse has replied...
Others feel the same way, that it would be nice to still be able to see the next days game ahead of time but it looks like they have given that opportunity only to the Funticket holders..Posted 15 years ago # -
Did anyone download Panda Craze gold, that Gamehouse gave away on 4th Nov. I have got to level 145 and can't go any further as am getting 'A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Flash Player 7 to run slowly' and wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. It has taken me all this time to get to that level and only have 5 more to complete the game, so annoying.

No I didn't get that one.
I notice that they are changing to "Today's Game" much later in the day.
Posted 15 years ago # -
Yes, I have noticed that too!
All these small changes are part of a bigger one: Real Arcade and Gamehouse have fused!

Warning today's game, Bang On Blitz, changes your computer's screen resolution and the only way to restore it (Display panel doesn't work) is to reboot. I already uninstalled the game.

I don't know about you guys, but it seems to me that the quality of the games recently have left a lot to be desired. I'm not too fond of the merge so far.

I agree Bit. I also notice the ads are coming up VERY often.
