I'm not sure whether we are getting one or two games this weekend. historically, the summer has always been a quiet time due to vacation time. We do have at least one game so far, which is over half a gigabyte, so, for those with slow internet connections please do download early to ensure you aren't disappointed.
Because the game is quite large (as arcade games go), it will take longer to download, which means more community members will be downloading at any one time. Becasue bandwidth is shared equally amongst the community, the more downloading, the slower the download.
Have a good weekend.

We have two games this weekend. Saturdays game is just under 140MB and Sundays around 50MB. Ones a repeat one has never been given away here before.

Thanks for letting us know! I look for your post every Friday night.

Two games this weekend, both manageable size wise. (less than 200MB and less than 30MB respectively). Both games have never been given away before. No more clues. :)

Thanks for the heads up, WR. Glad you got to go on vacation but even happier that you're back.

Another two games this weekend. Sundays game is approaching three quarters of a gigabyte, so for those on slow internet connections, I recommend downloading early. :)

Thanks for the heads up, WR; especially about Sunday's game size. :D

Saturdays game is almost 650MB, so, if you have a slow connection please start downloading as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The more people that are downloading, the slower the download speed. Due to the size of the download, there are likely to be large nunbers of community members downloading at any one time, so you can guess it will take forever to download. I downloaded the game on Friday morning and with only me downloading (using a 100MB connection, it still took almost 30 minutes for me to download - usually I get around 12MB per second, so it should have taken less than a minute to download).
The hours grac eperiod seems to have been stopped since they updated the main sites pages, so you must have the game downloaded and installed before the end of the giveaway, otherwise you wont be able to activate it.
Sundays game is much more manageable at less than 70MB. :)

We are about to get the largest game giveaway ever this weekend (2nd Jan 16). I think it is going to be Saturdays game, but at this point it's not been confirmed which day.
It's taken me over an hour to download the game and I was the only person downloading the game. This is going to be a major problem for the community as the more community members downloading at any one time the slower the download speed will be. Because it is so large more members will end up overlapping with other members, causing a massive bottle neck, so I suggest you download as soon as possible after the start of the giveaway.
The other game is only 24MB in size. :)

No game today?

My fault, I thought today was the weekend :(

There are three games in the draft section, so I was surprised that there wasn't a giveaway today (Sat 5th March).
It does say a game tomorrow. See you then.

I know last weekend was hard for you what with everyone complaining about the contest and about the free game. I appreciate what you all do there. Even when there are no games I know you check the forums and try to get us new content. Though I didn't participate in the contest I appreciate that you guys thought it would be nice to offer something. I hate that it didn't go over as well as hoped. Maybe with tomorrow's game you could also start a post here and link to it asking them, aside from changing the format back (which won't happen) what else could the site do to get more users and offer something in place of games when there are none. :)

There will be three games over Easter. Two tomorrow (Saturday, one of which will be the usual giveaway for everyone and one will be a limited number of keys for a permanent access to the game re-installable forever, plus one on Sunday.
Sundays game is about a third of a gigabyte, so, if you have a slow connection don't start downloading late in the giveaway.

There are three games in the listings at the moment. One of these is of the limited license type which will be available on Saturday. That is limited to 2000 licences and you have to do Tweets, Facebook entries, join a Steam group etc to gain more entries. The competition will probably be live over the weekend, so some can be repeated after 24 hours, giving you more entires and a better chance to win a steam code.
With 2000 licenses there's a good chance you may get a code for the game. Please do remember that these are not giveaway games in the usual sense; what you get is a permanent copy of the game that can be installed onto any computer at any time in the future, though you will need the Steam platform installed. For those new to Steam, or for those who don't have Steam installed. There are quite a lot of free games available on Steam; not the free to Play type, but straighforwards free games that don't require pay to win contributions and are also single player as opposed to most Free to Play games which tend to be multiplayer only.
There are Steam groups and forum posts in the Steam forums that list every free game available. Some of which I psted in the game synopsis a few years ago.
I won't be entering as I already have the game on Steam. Although a cheap game I really enjoyed playing it for short periods. I won't be posting a review for the game, though may post a few images and basic the info about the game.
As for the other two games, one is set for Sunday, but the other one is still in drafts and I'm unable to download a demo for either of the games at this time so I probably won't be posting a review this weekend.

There's at least one game giveaway this weekend that has never been given away here and is not available free anywhere else. The file size is almost three quarters of a gigabyte, so those with slow download speeds should ensure they download early.

Actually the game I thought was a normal game giveaway includes a Steam key, so I presume it's going to be one of those limited numbers games where you have to sign into various accounts such as Facebook and Tweeting etc. There is another game in the listings, but that is still in draft, so don't know whether it will be given away this weekend.

Update on last nights post:
We have two games for this weekend. Sundays game is definitely a normal giveaway, but I'm not sure about Saturdays game. I think it's going to be a limited giveaway due to the fact I'm unable to download the files.
As for Sundays game, everyone is going to be really suprised by this new addition to developers contributions. First time I ever came across this particular developer was after buying one of their own games, but they are more known for others games these days. I'm not going to spoil the surprise though.

Actually, both games this weekend are available to all, but todays (Saturdays) does require the Steam client.
