True - I listen to a variety of music genres, sometimes old country, sometimes New Age, and so forth
The person below me is, like me (finally!), learning how to ride a horse. My son is teaching me to ride, and using his oh-so-patient horse to do so. Right now am working on balance; son is leading horse around with a guide rope; horse is getting bored with going around in circles, continuously, and is putting her hoof down in protest...LOL.

Totally False - as my hair is about as short as it can get - not quite a crewcut, but close - it is so cool and easy to manage, especially during hot, humid, summer weather.

I speak French(not as well as I used to, however!)
But I still understand spoken and written ..
I love knowing another language and wish that I had more opportunities to use it.
Mind you, in Canada, every commercial product has French and English on it which I think is wonderful.
What language do you speak?

Nope - spent the day with my parents though, and returned some purchases. By the way, Alianthia, I speak Arabic (as my country of origin is Egypt). Was born in Cairo, and came to the US when I was just a baby. Thanks to my wonderful parents, I know how to speak Arabic, which comes in very handy when I visit my relatives in Cairo Egypt.

True. But my favorite is Solsuite.. a computer card game, has a LOAD of different solitaire games.
Chip, go to http://www.spamfighter.com and download and install that. It will create a spam folder in your email and catch a load of them. I liked the free version so well I paid for it for 3+ years! Oh "trualse" is very creative! LOL

False....taking the day off. Went out on a pontoon boat yesterday with friends and it totally wiped me out. I don't think it would have made me quite as tired if it had been a nice day but it rained almost the whole time we were on the boat. We were wet and a bit cold, but we had a great time in spite of it. DH & I love boating but hadn't been on one in several years so this was a nice treat. Was Buckley's first time and he absolutely love it....and I must say he behaved very well.

False, I found you can use all the photos on the computer as a screen saver, but I normally have my monitor set to shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity.

False. The only ones I'm seeing today is having a bone density test and then the rheumatologist right after that. So that's 2 hours shot for the day! I personally think bone density tests are a total waste of time and money! After all.. my bones are going to be what they've always been.. bones! And if I haven't broken anything by now, they must be OK.

The person below me is under a flash flood watch today like we are! Crazy weather!! Luckily we're in the mountains and on a hill.. although that didn't spare us when hurricanes Frances and Ivan came through.. we had 3 feet of water under the house.

False.....it's beautiful here today....sunny but cool....aaaahhhhhh just my style. Also, sitting on top of this mountain, flooding is one of the few things we don't have to worry about. Even nearby creeks and lakes can't reach our house, it would take another "Noah's Ark" type flood to be a problem here....lol
Chip, so are you all rested up now? Sometimes mini vacations can be more relaxing than long ones.

True - I'm trying to save my money and build up a comfortable nest egg so I can live my retirement years with a safety cushion - although it's a bit hard to do so given my current mortgage payments and the tuition I'm paying for my doctoral degree - but, hopefully, my mortgage payments will be over with in about 5 years - and I do try to control my spending habits for everything else - so, I'm confident I'll achieve my goal.

True.. it's amazing how many fresh fruits and veggies you can find when you shop there. Only thing is it's not quite a neighborhood one.. they have a regular year round farmers market in Asheville.
Mortgage payments.. I'm counting down each month when I send in a payment.. only 2 years and 8 months to go now! Heard on TV yesterday people can save quite a bit of interest if they make just one extra payment a year, but in this economy, who can afford to do that? Not I.
PS: Off topic. Still just using my e-cigarette.. 5 months without a real cigarette now! That might give me the extra $ for that extra payment a year!

False, I only have one brother and one sister. though both my grandparents came from big families with seven brothers and sisters on my patriarchl fathers side and 10 on my patriachal mothers side. Unbelievably I don't know much about my Matriachal side of the family beyond my uncles and aunts. My mothers mother never talked about her brothers and sisters. The youngest sister and last surviving member of my grandfathers family only just passed away recently at 104 years old.

False....between the two of us we're pretty good about taking them off the camera pretty fast. DH does a lot of sorting and filing....which is fine with me.
Copmom....Congratulations on the 5 months, that is really great!!! Is that e-cigarette that you use the one advertised on TV that blows out water vapor? Is it very expensive to use? I've been trying to get my baby brother and SIL to try one of those. My other younger brother is a month into getting off chewing tobacco which is just as bad if not worse. Fortunately they both look up to our older brother who quit smoking "cold turkey" several years ago. He's been a good influence on them. Wish my sister & nieces would quit too.

I have never smoked but have had friends who went through tough times trying to quit.
and TRUE about the digital photos...
(That is partially why we got the digital picture frame so we can enjoy them without going through the process on the computer...)
The person below me has relatives who are elderly but still going strong(by elderly, I have to say, OVER 90, as anything less seems normal these days...)

To answer about the electronic cigarettes.. no it's LOTS cheaper than regular ones. We got 2 'no box' starter kits (one for me, one for hubby) @$35 each. Comes with 2 complete 'cigarettes' so you can use one while other 'battery' is recharging - you get a charger with it. His are regular, mine is menthol. Yes, it blows out water vapor. The ones on TV don't have refillable filters, these do, so a bottle of the flavored nicotine juice is only $9-$12 and lasts about 6-8 weeks. There's little bottles for $3 so you can try different flavors. Hubby uses Pal Mal, and I use Black Ice (licorice w/a hint of menthol. We got ours from http://www.cignot.com There is also a ecig forum where you can get a lot of info. And NO I don't have any vested interest in this! Saw Dr. other day and she said my lungs sound good and now I can really take a deep breath again!
