TRUE! We had a pair of "banty"(bantam) chickens when I was a kid..
the person below me is glad that we had some rain..
TRUE! We had a pair of "banty"(bantam) chickens when I was a kid..
the person below me is glad that we had some rain..
False...it didn't rain here today :D
False.. it's too long but cute! I am SO sick of the commercials we have to watch. Hubby always mutes them! At this rate we'll have 10 minutes of program and 20 minutes of commercials shoved down our throats.

The person below me is going to have their first cup of coffee today, like I am!
(NOTE: I think we're running out of ideas for 'the person below me'.. seems like we're all posting about the weather and other mundane things?)
False....I don't drink coffee...which I've said before so I guess you're right Copmom...we're running out of material. Maybe we need some new blood....or some more coffee????? LOL
The person below me has personally met someone famous.
True - I once met Eva Gabor in a Department Store long time ago when I was a 9-year-old child - of course, I was starry-eyed then - and all she did was pat my cheeks and tell me - oh, darling, I have to go now LOL! (somewhat of a thrill and disappointment)

The person below me will do their laundry today.
True.. I do have a load in the washer - how did you know, did you look?

The person below me got 56 beautiful huge tomatoes yesterday like I did! (There was a tomato festival in town and we were there just before they closed, so the guy sold us a huge box for ONLY $5.00!) I've given tomatoes to all my neighbors. LOL
False.....wish I was one of your neighbors....lol
The person below me takes a nap every day.
False - my SIL and her fiance' do, though.
The person below me, agrees with copmom's (NOTE:), as do I, though it is all in fun...lol
False, not now seeing as Copmom has broached the subject

The person below me has a letter C in their name
False...not in my REAL name hehe :p
False....at least I haven't yet. But I might now that you brought it to my attention.
The person below me is tired of HOG's.
False.. still playing them! But only doing one at a time, and then when finished use Revo uninstaller to take it off the machine. Once I'm done with it, I'm done with it!
Even got my grandson hooked on playing HOG's, except that it ties up my computer.. LOL I'm waiting for them to show up anytime now.. back to school for them next Tuesday!

The person below me is going to fry up tomato with scrambled eggs now.. try it, you'll like it!
I am not tired of hogs yet either, and also play them one at a time now...
(fortunately they are evolving, so many are more like adventure games; hooray!)
Copmom that is early for school?! The kids here don't go back until the day after labour day..
Oh and TRUE, love scrambled eggs with tomato...
:)
The person below me loves to watch cooking shows..
sort of true. I'm not allowed to cook anymore due to my poor short term memory. i've almost burnt the house down on a number of occasions and destroyed several pans. i used to be the primary cook and loved cooking, but I no longer can due to the above reason. I will occasionaly wath a cook show if it's on when I turn the TV on, but I wont go out of my way.

The person below me loves kayaking (my son has just returned from his kayaking lessons, he's getting good now so the club has purchased a very expensive canoe for him to use. :) )
nope - I don't like to do any type of water-sports activity.

The person below me moderates some type of website forum.
True - this forum, and a few others
The person below me had cucumber-tomato salad with Italian dressing with their supper, this evening. Oh, and that was with fresh, home-grown veggies, too! :D
True"ish".. we've been eating tomato / cucumber sandwiches with mayo the past few days! Yummy!
Aliantha.. yes, it's early for school but they have to be prepared for snow days, just in case, and there were a LOT last winter. You must be on the west coast? When we lived in Calif. the kids always went back to school a week after Labor Day.
Rabbit, how can you have problems with your memory when you do such a great job evaluating games? And burning pans and foods.. 'computer cooking'? well that's what hubby calls it when I burn something! Now I rely on timers to beep and remind me there's something on the stove.

The person below me has to go grocery shopping today. We do every Wednesday!
False.......and I am sooooooo glad!
The person below me is soon going to visit a relative they haven't seen in a while. (Like we will be doing on Friday, DH's brother is coming from Florida)
hi Copmom!
Oh that makes sense, about the snow day preparedness...
I AM on the west coast, in B.C.,Canada(just above Washington state)!
False about visiting relatives, here..
The person below ME has just bought a nice new coat for fall(thank heavens for Costco!)
:)
False, I'm still using the coat I bought for hiking several years ago. I rarely leave the house now, so the coats i have still look new.
I've just been to see a consultant who specializes in brain damage this Monday gone. I had to do about 4 hours of various verbal, written, reading, hearing and visual tests and he concluded that I had indeed received some brain damage following my accident 5 years ago. Something I've been telling my doctors for the past four years; but without evidence they wouldn't listen. It's thanks to my legal team that I got the appointment with the consultant. Also the sleep study that I did last Thursday showed problems that would support the statement that the brain specialist has found (I had to be connected to an EEG, plus they monitored things like eye movement, breathing and even videoed me throughout the night.
Part of the problem is my short term memory. If I leave something on to cook, I can't wait around in the kitchen as I can't stand for long. So I'll go and sit in the lounge, and invariably fall asleep. I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat anywhere, in any position.
Writing reviews uses a different part of my brain to that which has been damaged. I don't feel that much different, but I do detect specific problems which I won't discuss here; but they are mainly to do with logic and verbal communication. (I struggle to find words that I know I never used to prior to the accident).

False, I like puzzles, and HOG games.

The person below me doesn't know what they're fixing for dinner tonight! (Like me.. gee went shopping yesterday and don't know what to fix.. duh!) Am boiling potatoes for making potato salad for tomorrow.. always tastes better the next day. That we'll have w/BBQ ribs.
False. No idea.
And I *do* love indie games, although not exactly the ones you posted...stuff like Iji, anything by Nifflas, and Battle for Wesnoth. (I do, however like world of goo).
This is at least the person's second time visiting giveawayoftheday.com since the giveaway has changed.
"Now I rely on timers to beep and remind me there's something on the stove."
Copmom, that's what I need to get. I will put water on the stove to boil for tea or whatever, and then go to my sewing/computer room, while waiting for the water to boil. I tend to forget about it, and next thing I know someone is mentioning that's there is water boiling...(chuckle).
Sue, that is why I got a whisting kettle(after I just about burned OUR house down, forgetting that I had a kettle on to boil)
AND a timer, is a terrific idea!
WR,That is so hard, what you have had to(and STILL) go through..
I know how awful brain damage can be, as my sis, who is type 1 diabetic, has had this diagnosis.
At first I could see no difference, but now she struggles; for words, for actions and for purpose(at times)
:(
True - I have visited the GOTD site many times since the giveaway has changed.

The person below me looks forward to the Fall season.
True - Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons of the year; not hot/cold, but nice and comfortable temps.
The person below me is a night owl, like I am, and is fixing to go to bed (7:00 am, here).
False, am up and about.. grands here at 8am, so couldn't stay up late, or else I would have. Why do they always put the good movies on TV so late at night? And yes, my favorite seasons are spring and fall too. Oh, on the timer, mine has a magnet to stick on the refrig., but I can carry it in my pocket so I don't miss hearing it!
_________________________________________________________________________________
The person below me is stuck on a couple HOG games, like I am! Grrrrrrr. Guess I'll have to Google a 'walk through'. LOL
Copmom, I would stick that magnetized timer on the steel shelf of a desk in my sewing room, where I would be at. That way I can't miss the 'ding'...lol.
So, just out of curiosity, what HOG's are you stuck on? If you want to PM me to keep it off this thread; wouldn't bother me to have it on here, but might others.
False, don't have time for HOG's
Nope - don't have much use for a hammock (as I live in a condominium)
