Took the trash down, went to the post office and had $54 worth of outgoing mail, then got the oil and filter changed and tires rotated on the car, then to the vet to get the dogs nails clipped. Now I'm about to starve! Will have left over shrimp scampi over rice with a veggie.

False, had one last year and nothing grew very well, except squash. Even tried 2 hanging tomato plants, not too bad but had to reach too high to water constantly. We do have blueberries, blackberries and the concord grapes will be in around mid Sept. / October, depending on the weather. One year by the time we checked them they came in early and shriveled up from too much heat.

It is pleasantly warm here..but still cool enough at night so sleep is possible even without a fan(which we did have to use last week when it was around 30 Celsius(86 degrees Fahrenheit for my USA pals)

False...I'd rather sleep....lol I guess you have insomnia....bummer!!!! On my last job I used to wake up around 3:00 and couldn't go back to sleep....it was awful! I started taking OTC sleep aid pills (store brand similar to Nytol) it helped a lot and they're non-habit forming.

Okay, so I thought of another 'the person below me' idea, albeit inane...(chuckle).
(Yesterday) The person below me went to look at a horse that was offered to him/her. The horse (supposedly) likes only black men, and women of any color. Three (2 men/woman) tested that, and the horse ran/walked off, in that order. The person/s decided not to get horse...lol.

BK, we actually have a horse that is like that one we went to look at yesterday. We didn't set out to own it, but it just fell into our laps, so to speak. That horse ran all the way from his owner's house, which is on a different street from ours, and wound up at our place. My son called me to tell me that a friend who lives on our street called and said one of our horses was running up and down our road. The horse does favor one of ours. After we got the horse contained in one of our fields, the owner had to make boarding arrangements with us, and wound up selling it to us for 'peanuts' because he couldn't pay what he owed. That horse has so much wild still in him, we really can't do anything with him, and are planning on giving him to a nearby stable where they train, break, etc. horses. Hopefully they can make him into a good horse.

Sue, When I was a teenager one morning I walked out on the back porch and there were two horses in our yard. We couldn't believe it. I mean around here that's like finding a panda bear in your yard. Turned out a young girls parents had just started boarding her horses at an old farm about 1/4 mile up the road and they got out through a weak spot in the fence. That was a fun day....I thought I died and went to Heaven. :)

BK, I can imagine that was quite an experience for you...(chuckle). If that had happened at our former residence I would have been as shocked as you were - the panda bear in your yard, shocked...lol. Around here, it's not so unusual, though it is surprising when we find another horse in our yard, grazing...heh heh. It's like, "where did he come from?", like which neighbor owns this horse...lol? Well, we're giving one of ours away, but quite probably replacing him, before he's gone. We went and looked, again, at the horse I mentioned a day ago that only likes black men, and women. He allowed my white son to pet him, as well as my SIL and me. We are probably going to take him.

False.. but oh what a nice surprise for you! My sewing machine is about 40 years old, but I rarely use it anymore.. still in excellent shape. It's cabinet makes a nice TV stand in the spare bedroom! A tip on that squash.. neighbor is supplying us with that and cucumbers.. they slice the squash, flour it, and then freeze the slices up until needed.

The person below me is going to make up a HUGE batch of spaghetti sauce today, like I am, with Italian sausage and meatballs to freeze up in meal size portions. Store had whole sirloin tip roasts (9-11 pounds)on sale @$2.29 a pound, so had butcher grind it up.. cheaper than hamburger meat!
