Looks like you have gotten the hang of this game Barely heck i decided to create another nation and low and behold i can't use any of the armies i had in the other one so guess i need to use me one of those booster packs to get me at least a little bit of a army going think i did nature this time and yes it took my name:) lol I now have bluhoteyes brothel so will have to go back and get everyones names and add it to that list too:)

The neutral troops can be used by any nation, as long as they aren't already used in another unit. So if you have 10 human archers, and 5 of them are in a Nature unit, you will only have 5 available in your other nations. Obviously the faction units can't be used in another faction, but the rules still apply, if its in one nation it isn't available in others. You can however remove all the troops from a unit *but one* and keep the unit. So if you have a level 3 unit with 10 archers, you can remove 9 of those archers and use them in another nation without losing that original level 3 unit.

Don't forget that when something dies in Saga it needs to be resurrected in the temple before it can be used again, and it needs to be readded to the unit it came from. So if you see your units shrinking slowly, have a look there hehe.

MemberBarely.....are you saying that if I lose warriors (a whole unit) in the tutorial I can get them back? Please say that's true...I've been fretting over my poor guys thinking by the time I learn this crazy game I won't have any soldiers left to fight. I figured I'd have to have one whapping big funeral service and kiss my whole nation good-bye. What about the peasants? If I forget to keep an eye on them and they, oh let's say....starve to death......can I get them back too?

MemberYes i had figured out how to resurrect them as i remembered reading that in the directions Barley. Buckleysmom yes you can resurrect them you go to your temple and in the lower right click on the graveyard it will cost god favor to get them back but i found with have some worship my god favor is above 2000:) lol Not sure how i did that but i did some keep saying how come my god favor isn't increasing i noticed in the chat and i wonder why has mine increased without me doing anything.. Only thing i can this is God knows i love him and wanted to give me something special ...LOL

If you set peasants to worship you will get god favor, and you get it from battles as well.
They got around the whole death thing pretty good, since actually losing troops you paid for would be a bit of a deal breaker for most people. They don't DIE as such, they just become unusable. And if they fall in combat they may not even die. Like if an entire unit of 10 archers falls, only 1 or 2 of them may actually die, the rest are just injured and are perfectly fine after the battle. If peasants die, which I haven't actually seen yet, they are indeed dead, sucks to be them.

Memberi will try to add those other two names and see what i get ... did you try to add mine? bluhoteyes brothel or even sagacity society is my other nation. I can't believe it though i went back and redone under my new name the tutorials on the second one where you are suppose to save the bowmen i was able to get 14 peasants just from that one alone and never killed not one of those bowmen and it treated me like i as a king i have a rating of 106 after doing the one where you have to capture the watch tower. I am amazed at how you can do so well if you know how to play the game even a little bit :) lol going to go try and add those names will let you know if i could or not

Memberwell guess what you can only add ppl's name in the same faction you are in so the only one i was able to add was magnamund ... so sad barely think we could get a good chattin going if you do decide to play that name let me know would like to team up once i get the hang of this game to kick some royal org butts :) LOL

Okay, I'm playing Granite, a Machine nation. Although I'm waiting for a few trades at the moment, since I tried the first tutorial and got my arse handed to me. I'm hoping to get a mech giant, 4 wooden tanks, an iron tank maybe some Bombardiers. I think its harder to collect the smaller CP units, 4 tanks are a lot easier and cheaper than 15 Bombardiers.
I dig these dwarves though, if I can trade my way to a good enough force I will prolly play them quite a bit.

Games GuruI've posted a particularily negative responce to today's giveaway partly because of my own personal experiences playing this game previously, (or want of a better word, not being able to play the game due to constant server crashes.
However if you like the idea of a persistent world I'd certainly give this game a go. Despite the prohibitive cost of booster packs (when looking at the long term)
I decided it wasn't worth the effort of continuing, but I'm sure for those who are willing to purchase those booster packs, this is an exciting game with what looks like a great community. Once you've installed and set up the game, you can see if there is anyone online because there is a dialogue box at the bottom of the playing area, where you are able to stike up conversations with others playing the game.

Games GuruI needed to re download the client because I've reformatted all the drives on this particular computer since the last time SAGA was given away. I firstly applied for one of the registered accounts, which was successful. I then tried to download the client via the link provided by the SAGA web site and got a message saying my account had been suspended.
Is there anyone else being told that their account has been suspended????

MemberStephen, only the Manual link so far (what's up with THAT?) says "Account Suspended". Sounds like their page with their host? I am still downloading the game so don't know what will happen next. My account probably was suspended since I have not used it.
I posted my question on the download page, but maybe someone here can tell me, do I need to uninstall, or install over the first April giveaway?
I am willing to give it another try. Back in April, either their servers were funky or my firewall simply didn't like it.

my patcher will not update the program...i haven't used it in quite a while...a possible solution is at post #97, Mike...tho i haven't tried it yet...
