   Goody...well if there was no orange smell I guess it wasn't a fraser after all. Hmmm, I am so disappointed, just thinking you would get that wonderful smell was an anticipation. Good grief.....I need to get a life!

   Hey those flowers are awesome, where's that Graylox? They look like sometuhng alein.....ha ha Even the dandelion seed ball is fantastic. Have you ever enetered any photo contests? I'll bet you could win.

   It'll be interesting to see if anyone knows what those odd flowers are.

   the end 'brushes' on that bush are only about 1/4" across, it's maybe 3/4 inch wide across the needles.

   never tried or even thought of contests, though I wouldn't be adverse to making a few extra bucks selling snaps, sure would help out.

   enjoy your tulips yet?

   didn't graylox say she was going to get some warpaint to twit a pre-ex-hubby?

   Yes, I have the tulips on my desktop. They are so pretty! The pic came out perfectly clear when I converted it to a .bmp file to use for wallpaper.

   You really should check out the photo contests, I'm sure there are lots of them online. Here's a few I looked at recently

   well, before I dig up another fiendish WII, here's the 3 shots I took to show scale and branch patterns on our what bush is that:

   the cane is .9125" in the top section. call it 23 mm.

   next section after the joint is .745"- 3/4" or 19 mm, close enough.

   which tulips was the question, you should have a few.

   I think I have to retract the Juniperus. That "blue berry" was no berry at all???
   It could be a Picea but which ? One of those many ornamental trees or decorative shrubs.

    appears to be a close relative of Euphorbia portlandica L. (Portland Spurge), just not fully open.

    graylox, don't give up on juniper yet- nothing's close to ripe. and found what may be unripened berries.

    splurges as invasive plants- if they can crowd out blackberries- invade me- please!

    too many white ones around. maybe with big white and yellow flowers? or deep purple?

    hmm... blue would work, some kind of climbing bush- wouldn't that be a sight?

    Not sure, but new ones keep opening up. I used to have them climbing the fence when we lived in So. Calif., and the seeds kept reseeding new ones. Had white, blue and purple.. so pretty!

    I think you're running into the same perspective problem I had a ways back- those r not ridges, they're grooves.

    Well, I doubt it's a gun stock. Is it something that's knurled?

    I'm having a very hard time seeing them as grooves. Optical illusion-like. Wow!

    Goody.....now that I see the whole bush, that is definitely not a fraser. What I was talking about is a regular Christmas tree, not a bush.

    The flower sure looks like some form of Gray's Euphorbia. Could be a different form of the same flower. Don't they sometimes grow to look one way in one area of the world, while looking different in another area or country? It's such an interesting flower.

    I got it from a reliable source that "There are some 3000 euphorbia varieties and hybrids". And Goody's picture is one of them.
