abalone shell?
Posted 16 years ago # -
another conch shell?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Me shell, my belle.
Posted 16 years ago # -
not my easter egg- remember agates don't hatch, nor is it somebody else's.
not abalone, though I have seen some small enough. this is smaller than the last joint of my thumb. it's medium small for it's type around here, though I've seen photos of ones that make the biggest locals look puny.
creamypretzel, it's a cover, not of a song though... heck of a username, too.
finally traced the geoduck and gweduc, nope, it's not in your list of shells, graylox. I'm adding all sorts of words to my spelling check...

goody, eew! Sorry, but that poster would never hang on my wall. Hope Lady Gray likes it.
I have a good friend, an ex-brother-in-law (I used to be married to his wife's brother), who is a mason. He's one of the most sought after masons in the US and travels all over the country supervising jobs. Everywhere he goes he brings home stone, mineral formations, fossils, etc., which are native to the area. He has been, gradually, building walls with these things embedded in them on the outside of his home. The first wall is now inside of the garage attached that he built a few years ago. One nice fossil, which really captured my attention, is that of a perfectly formed feather. I believe it came from somewhere in Ohio. Next time I'm at their house, I'll take some photos.

Thanks Goody, but your snail picture won't come up. I know snails are quite slow, but I didn't know, that they are shy too?
You have really an impressive kitty-cat, what did she eat? One of the smaller cats? OOOOps...
And the crystals, have you build your house with gemstones?
We have some (hundreds) of stones too, but mostly only just "stones". We took them with us home from all over Scandinavia - as souvenirs. Now a lot of them are "conserved" in preserving jars, lie about between books and CDs and, and, and
What do you mean with your Ford pic? I have no clue, where it comes from.Posted 16 years ago # -
I never could get your original picture to open .. imageshack kept saying server may be down. That poster is gross! Kitty must have had it's head inside the body of whatever it was feasting on!

Here is another "snail"

Is it just me, or has the forum activity slowed down a lot over the past couple of days? I wasn't home much yesterday but there doesn't seem to be as many posts recently.
Either way, here is MD-What Is It? #41.
I made some new wallpaper for the prize. I think it turned out pretty nice. Guess the closeup to decide for yourself!

MD#41 Is it the hands on a clock?
Maizey, yeh I noticed things were slow yesterday but it seems they picked up this morning.
I missed Goody's last game and right now none of the pics will open :(

BK, how did you see that so easily? What am I doing wrong? YOU WIN!! It's the hands on a clock.
As promised, you win my Dark Mood Wallpaper-pick your size & download. Hope you like it.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Maizey......was just a lucky guess cause I went back and looked after I posted my answer and thought......naaaaa doesn't really look like a clock. Go figure! Gotta go check out "my prize". Thanks

goody, eew! Sorry, but that poster would never hang on my wall.
It's in the kitchen, right over the coffeepot. caption added, it's a pic from a magazine.
M- first wall is now inside of the garage attached that he built a few years ago
G- And the crystals, have you build your house with gemstones?
these were all collected by the original owner, and some of the choice items he put in a couple of panels flanking the door into the shop he never finished. here's a 12 mb, rather poor small movie in mpeg showing an overview.

end of the month get enough to tide us over shopping?
I missed Goody's last game and right now none of the pics will open :(
I'm fed up with imageshack myself. keep trying eventually it works, looking for a better place- photobucket the 1024x768 limit is too annoying.

graylox- oops
What do you mean with your Ford pic? I have no clue, where it comes from.
here's a shot of a slide and the clip I got out of it.
Posted 16 years ago # -
goody, I put all my wallpapers and big files on http://www.divshare.com/. You cannot make your folders private but maximum file size is 200 mb and they give you 5 gig for storage & 50 gig for downloads. I use Photobucket for What it it because I don't need the full size pics and I can make the answers private until someone guesses it.

It has been a bit quieter lately! Even on my website, usually the weekends are when we get the most orders, and this weekend it's kinda blah!! Maybe people are getting bit by the spring fever bug?
And yes, on the photobucket thing.. earlier I couldn't get that snippet of a snail shell to open at all. Finally the full picture did open but really s-l-o-w.Posted 16 years ago # -
copmom, goody used imageshack. I haven't seen this problem with photobucket.
Posted 16 years ago # -
maizey- that's the right tense, too. I'm deleting all but current images and 'shopping'.
I'll look at divshare, but there's gotta be a better service out there besides photobucket and imagesnare.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Goody, this is everything in my bookmarks for photo storage/sharing, besides Photobucket and DivShare:
Adobe Photoshop Express
Box.net
Image Venue
RedKid.Net
Snapfish
flickr
imageshares
