It's not a chip or transistor. Think about what Azimov was famous for, then you'll probably get it correct. :)

Oh! Now I know exactly what it is........NOT! LOL
I have no clue......even with the clues and the guesses already made.Posted 14 years ago # -
Azimov is famous for an awful lot of things. It's a long time ago I read his books, and as I don't have a robot brain like Data, I have forgotten many things. Even Wikipedia can't help.
It's a puzzle bit of the "positronic brain" I think, but besides chip, or transistor, I can only name "integrated circuit" and "microprocessor".
Well, I have to sleep over it, maybe I'll find it in my dreams.Posted 14 years ago # -
It's a potato chip :D

yummy :)

Maybe a chip with dip????
Sorry Rabbit....need more hints.

Is it an infrared sensor?...nah..probably not.
Could be a LED display too.LOL.Posted 14 years ago # -
Okay I'm going to have to tell you what this one is. I though it may be a little too obscure for anyone to get the correct answer. One of the main things I remember Azimov for are the Robot series (and Foundation trilogy) and his three laws of robotics. That and Data were the link to robots, though data was supposed to be an android, but I think the line between the two is rather blurred. The other clues reffered to small and electronic, so the answer is Micro robot. Yes the image below is a micro robot:
I-Swarm Micro Robot on Thumb
I'll post another tomorrow, unless someone else wants a go. :)

Ohh.. a really big nanite. Well, it was fun anyway!
Posted 14 years ago # -
Wow cool! So what does it do?
Posted 14 years ago # -
You can tell by the look in its beady little sensors that it's contemplating total world domination - one thumb at a time.
They've already started bullying the screws!
Probably took his lunch money...

Okay, i'm gonna post three images today; totally unrelated. See if you can get all three correct. The first one is probably the easiest to guess, the last one is very low resolution, so may be a little harder. ;~}
1)
2)
3)
==================================================================== Posted 14 years ago # -
1. Fire
2. The head of the match before it was used to light the fire.
3. A piece of burned woodOops....you said they were unrelated....ok....
1. Fire
2. Blood
3. BrickPosted 14 years ago # -
That's a pretty cool association BK; I'm impressed, but of course you are totally wrong. The first one is warm, but it's definitely not fire. The other two are way off the mark. :)
A clue to the second one - It's been magnified at least 100 times.
Posted 14 years ago # -
1. Space Shuttle Columbia disaster
2. Jupiter's red eye (Great Red Spot)
3. A Borg cube
Posted 14 years ago # -
I'll be more earthy and guess the first one as lava ejected from a volcano perhaps, though re-entering orbital debris has to be a second shot.
How about a small pimple on skin for #2 (too well defined for jupe's blemish)
and the third- how about that crazy 'face' on mars in B&W?
Didn't know this was still running. I ought to try again.

Is #1 a fiber light?
Posted 14 years ago # -
No to all so far. One is probably found in your house most of the time (most being a clue), ones military and the other I'd have to tell you in a round about way (that's anothe clue). Also the last ones color could give it away. Think of what familiar objects are that color. :)
lol to a Borg cube :)
Lava was a good one as was re entered orbital debris
Posted 14 years ago # -
#1 Is the re-entry of Mir
Posted 14 years ago # -
1, spacecraft burning up in atmosphere
2, red blood cell
3, vertebraePosted 14 years ago # -
The first one isn't anything burning up on re entry, but it is in the atmosphere; you'll find it in a theatre of war. The second one is organic, but it's not a red blood cell, and the third one has sulphur in it. There could be a vague link to Spock as well. :)

Here's a couple more clues:
The first one ios a form of defence, the second one is just what the doctor ordered. And the last one is derived from a particular type of tree :)
Posted 14 years ago # -
1 Sparks from gunfire
2 A pill
3 Bark (I know....you need to know what kind)Posted 14 years ago # -
a tamarac tree (woof woof)
Posted 14 years ago # -
1) rocket in space with fire coming out of its thrusters.
2) fingernail with red nail polish.
3) face mask that's positioned sideways.Posted 14 years ago #
