Goody, at first glance, your "bug" looked to be a clover stem borer. [Bad]
Upon reconsideration, the bi-colored head and jaws suggests it's a soldier beetle. [Good]
This is why grabbing insecticide should never be one's first option.http://www.govlink.org/hazwaste/house/yard/problems/goodbugs.cfm?entityID=99&ModeID=632&grp=biorem

unless you're a farmer, then it's simple economics of war. Or a war of economics- or both. when the book 'the last centurion' hits the press, give it a read. (webscriptions has the eARC now.) john ringo.
not saying reach for class-4 hazmat at home first shot- I'm of, in general, of a natural-balance sort- unless you have a way to stomp rambler rose, blackberries, ivy, and scotch broom sans herbicides.
I do, I'm you'll end up noting, have odd opinions on all sides.
pro-nuclear. waste? hasn't anybody ever considered subduction zones and a fast recycle through the magma?
cool paint job, though.

Looks so familiar. I just can't seem to pin point it. :(

is it an onion bag?
Posted 16 years ago # -
no, it's not.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Is it a close up of the side of a matchbox, where you strike?
Posted 16 years ago # -
no, though you get style points for going man-made. I'll add rated for outdoor duty as well as indoor.
====edit===
fyi, this is what the local onion bags look like this year.

goodgotd....nice color contrast,blue on white!....you can even make a bag of onion's interesting!.......is n004 a non slip mat

goody.. our onion bags are orange! As for the statement above: "a way to stomp rambler rose, blackberries, ivy, and scotch broom sans herbicides." get a goat! I remember an island off LA (that the military used for target practice.. naval firing range), had a big problem with all the brambles growing there so they put a bunch of goats on the island.
We have the blackberries here, planted on purpose, thornless! Then we had the kids each dig up a bunch for their yards, and ours keep coming back. There's died, mainly because they never planted the dang things properly or forgot to plant them!Posted 16 years ago # -
city won't let us, or we would!

goody.. is it some type of hardware cloth or part of a screen door?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Is it Fly Paper......you know.....stick em to it?
Posted 16 years ago # -
no, this particular piece is stick-on, but has no holes or stickum.
I admit to a certain queasy color similarity to deployed flypaper.
OK, react, adapt, overcome. If the answer is bad, change the question.
Suggestions for camouflaging a goat as a really slow mowing machine in a rural town?

Gn004 - Is it Static Cling Decorative Privacy Window Film?
Posted 16 years ago # -
sorrylox, artificial.
nope, dazed- opaque, stick-once-there-forever. light isn't supposed to go through.
bet you've seen this every day you've left the house before you got back. and not really noticed.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Is it a screen door, the things for keeping bugs out, and you can see through?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Looks like the screening used in security glass.
Posted 16 years ago # -
no holes, not in glass.

Gn004 - Reflective tape on guide rails or posts?
Posted 16 years ago # -
This one has me stumped. And speaking of goats... if gas keeps going higher, it hit $4.00 yesterday, it would be cheaper getting a goat than using the riding mower!
