Just purchased at £2.12, no problems.

From my point of view, this pack is worth it for 'Nightsky' and 'Scoregasm'.
Nightsky is a side scrolling puzzle, almost entirely played in silhouette. A totally mesmerising game at times, with some tricky puzzles.
Scoregasm is a fast paced and frantic shoot 'em up (Shmup) - great graphics and fast frenetic gameplay.
I already had the 'Time Gentleman Please / Ben there Dan that' pack, and they're both good, fun adventures, in a classic Lucasarts adventure game style.
I personally found 'Fate of the World' to be extremely confusing and rather difficult, even on the easy settings - it does look beautiful though. It may take a while to get to grips with this one.....

I can only vouch for three of the games at the moment; that is, all but the Scoregasm game which I've not played before. The three games that I am familiar with are well worth buying even at full price so the oppertunity to get them at an amazingly low price is something you don't want to miss. There's something for everyone here.
Of the three that I already own ( Night Sky, Fate of the World and Ben there Dan that/Time Gentlemen, Please!) Night Sky is my favourite. It’s an excellent physics based puzzle platformer with great ambient music and gorgeous minimalistic graphics. I’m not going to write a full review as I don’t have the energy right now, however I will include links to a decent review of each game and some images. You can check out Night Sky HERE.
Fate of the World is a decent map/card based strategy game that simulates the social and environmental impact man has had on climate change. The game looks at such impacts as global resource wars, famine, political wrangling and even flash fires and the solutions to cure the problems; for example international aid, geo-engineering species protection and even clandestine operations. This is a very interesting strategy game that has unlimited re-playability. Well worth having in your games library especially if you are into strategy games. You can check out a decent review of Fate of the World HERE
Ben there, Dan that and Time Gentlemen, please! are both tongue in cheek point and click adventure games that have been around for some time. The latter game is actually a freeware game that was basically the prequel to the second title. I know when I bought this via steam you had to get them both together, though they are separate games in their own right and I think the first oner is still available as a seperate freeware game. The first game involves the two characters Ben and Dan being abducted by aliens. The story revolves around the two characters attempts to return home. Time Gentlemen, Please! carries on the story where the first one left off with several twists. Both games will have you rolling about on the floor with their excellent comedic dialogue. These two games are an excellent addition to the bundle.
You can find a decent review of Ben there, Dan that HERE and Time Gentlemen, Please! HERE
You can see a decent review of scoregasm HERE.

A number of extras have been added and the price recently dropped. It is currently $2.78.
The extras are add on to Fate of the World and two more shooters by Charliesgames (who made Scoregasm). The shooters are: Irukandji and Bullet Candy Perfect. The FotW additions are: extras pack(soundtrack & designer notes), Migration (flood scenario), Denial (scenario where no carbon emissions issue, but growth becomes a problem) and a separate download of the soundtrack.

Thanks for keeping us updated Campy, much appreciated. Not seen Irukandji before, but I do have a copy of Bullet Candy. An ealier version was also given away via the game giveaway project back in it's first year. I'm not sure which version I got from the developer. Probably an earlier version as it was a couple of years ago. If you like the psychedelic colors of bullet Candy check out the freeware Plasma Pong game that is also very psychedelic. It was one of the first games I posted as part of the freeware project. It needs updating with images and probably giving it a seperate post as it's part of a collection of posts. I started the project by days rather than weeks as i'd never intended to carry the project further than a few weeks. At the time i didn't realize the extent of the freeware movement. :)

Campy, I think your comment: "...I'm surprised they didn't sell more..." will not apply now.
The second bundle is now closed and actually this time they only sold 30,205. The first one sold 37,564. It looks like the final price on this bundle was $4.92, but most of the time the price was under $4. In my opinion, this bundle wasn't nearly as good as the first one. Also, I am sure their mess the first day didn't help.
It will be interesting to see what is in the next bundle, the Really BIG Bundle. It is due on Thanksgiving morning; an interesting choice of release date.

There are news about the Indie Royale Bundles, they changed their schedule.
You can read the complete "Open Letter" here:
http://www.indieroyale.com/newsletter/80
...We'll be removing a strict schedule of one Indie Royale bundle every two weeks. You can still sign up or follow us to find out when the bundle goes live. And we won't be changing our general concept and list of upcoming bundles. But we're continuing to target the near-term for the next Really Big Bundle, which will now launch shortly after the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday.
We now realize (and our smouldering servers agree!) that there are a lot of people who are waiting when the next Indie Royale bundle launches. In many cases, you may be reloading patiently to buy it almost no matter what, since it's such good value for money. So we're now opening pre-orders for the next Indie Royale bundle, at a recommended contribution of USD $5 but a minimum price of USD $3.99 (current and future Indie Royale bundles will launch at an initial live minimum of $2.99.)...

Thanks for the update Graylox. :)

Sounds like a gamble to me...
Preorder "something" (we can't tell you what it is)
No Refunds available.I think I'll pay the extra dollar to be sure I am buying something I want or haven't already got - once they announce the contents.
Posted 13 years ago # -
This is crazy! Pay $3.99 to as Bubby says:
Preorder "something" (we can't tell you what it is)
No Refunds available.
Not only do I want to know if I already have it or want it, I also want to pay more if it is something really good that I want versus possibly pay the minimum if I am kind of interested, but don't really care too much.Posted 13 years ago # -
I agree with those that don't like the new format. Would never order sight unseen. Plus they also are not saying exactly when the next bundle will start.
Posted 13 years ago # -
agree, how can they expect people to agree to this? No way, Jose!
Posted 13 years ago # -
For the most part I agree with all of you about the 'sight unseen' part, BUT sometimes it is worth it to take the chance. Four games for 3.99 (or more if you choose)? Chance are very high whatever you get is going to be worth at least that much even if one of the games is one you have, and you are helping to support indie type games (aren't we?). I took the chance this time to see what I will get. I wish I would have caught that "Fate of the World" game looks/reminds me of the Axis and Allies game. I loved it more as a board game, but much easier to play on the computer without having to gather 3+ friends. ANYWHO, sometimes you just have to take a chance... you might be surprisingly happy. Granted I wouldn't do it all the time and I think this would be better serving to them if they offered this as a take a chance at a great price and then when the bundle did come out raise the price for not taking the chance (not a lot, but make taking the chance worth it). Just my 2 cents (which here in America seems to be worth less and less anytmore LOL).
Everyone have a wonderful holiday season and I wish lots of good times ahead in your lives! TTYL!
GreggPosted 13 years ago # -
Got to agree with Gregg on this one. So far every bundle that has been available since the humble bundle and other iterations such as the Indie Royale were released have been well worth the cash. $3.99 won't buy you much these days. I've already taken the risk (paying more than double the asking price) and I know that I'm going to have at least 50% of the games that they offer already as I usually purchase most Indie games as they are released because personally I think even at full price (generally) I've never been disappointed. (Though recently I have been holding back a little waiing for steam sales as a lot of these games come around in sales within a few months of release).
p.s.
The Really Big Bundle would imply that we won't be getting anything small, lol.
To all my American friends have a great Thanksgiving.
Posted 13 years ago # -
I wasn't interested in the 1st IndieRoyale & several of the Humbles; even the Humbles I've bought I thought just so so. Plus, you might have the game(s) you would be most interested in.
Posted 13 years ago # -
From the open letter page:
(Incidentally, 'Really Big' in its title is a reference to one of the included games and, in part, the scope/genre of the others, rather than it being a massive 1000-in-1 pack!)
I went ahead and pre-ordered based on that, and that I thought the first two were excellent value. If I have the games already I could just give the keys away. Maybe give them to WR to use as a prize for something (perhaps an Easter Egg hunt... ;). As far as I know the steam keys are not bound to anyone until you activate them.

A nice bundle except I own 2 of the 4 & have no interest in the shooter. Thus, the reason against pre-ordering.
Posted 13 years ago # -
Yep, a nice bundle. I already own 2,3,4 and 5 - the current price is $3.94, so not pre-ordering turned out to be a correct decision for me. Next up, the Christmas Bundle.
Posted 13 years ago # -
I'm definitely not going to pre-order again. I still haven't received anything from the pre-order. Though as mentioned above, i did mistakenly purchase it as soon as it was posted here as I'd forgotten I'd pre-ordered it, lol.
Posted 13 years ago # -
I have 'pre-ordered' this one , as I did with the 'Really Big Bundle'. Whiterabbit, when you say you haven't received anything from the pre-order you made, you get the link/key sent through immediately you pay, but it doesn't go live until the bundle is released. Did you not get an email from them straight away?

Hi Stevie {my grandma used to call me Stevie :) }
Yes I did, but there was a problem with it. when I contacted them, they said that they had been having problems and that they would cotact me when they had sorted it out, but I never got a reply. I ended up repurchasing it anyway, so am not bothered about it now.
Thanks for the heads up re: the latest bundle coming live. I'd justseen the Email and was going to post it myself. Even though I said I wasn't going to preorder the new bundle, I did (couldn't stop myself, lol), and amazingly there are two that I don't have (The Blackwell Triolgy and Oil Blue), usually I've got them all or there's just been one that I didn't have (apart from one of the early ones that included two Alpha versions). I'll check the Email I received when I pre-ordered it the other day.
Posted 13 years ago # -
They also have Dino D-Day available on Desura now, not just Steam. Dino D-Day was the only one of this bunch that I had already, so if you count the trilogy as three games I've gotten five games for a quid each and a MP3 album to add to the collection....downloading that now. :)

Due to massive on-off problems I couldn't post any details yet; let's have another try now.

Eets available on: windows, desura, steam (pc and mac)
Cult 2D puzzle platformer from the makers of Shank

It’s up to you and a crew of men to travel the ocean, find abandoned oil drilling islands, and reclaim them for the United Oil of Oceana company....

This is in deed a great bundle (in my eyes)- though it seems, I won't buy it :(
I bought the Blackwell Trilogy a year ago from wadjeteyegames.com, Eets is on my Steam account, Dino D-Day: no nazi symbols will ever be stored on my system and besides that a multiplayer is nothing for me. Then there is The Oil Blue, a sim. I'm not so much for sim games, but OTOH vertigogaming.net is a great developer, worth a buy; at the moment they are giving 50% on all their games - that's worth to consider a purchase.Download: http://www.indieroyale.com/
