MemberTiffany, this happens because these are older games that were created with a lower screen resolution than is used today. You can always temporarily change your screen resolution to make make these appear larger. Depending on the game, it is also sometimes possible to modify it to make it appear larger or full screen. Sometimes this is easy, sometimes it is hard and sometimes it isn't possible.

MemberA number of SCUMM (the platform used to build this) games were released as freeware a few years back. Anyone that likes this type of games should check out the ScummVM site. In addition to Flight of the Amazon Queen you will find Beneath a Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress, Drascula, Broken Sword, Broken Sword II, The Feeble Files and Legend of Kyrandia.
DotEmu has some, but not all of these plus a couple of other (Warzone 2100 and Tyrian).

Darn, I wish I had seen this when 'The Abbey' was on sale! It looks like it's based on the book I just read, 'The Name of the Rose.' Also made into a movie, staring Sean Connery! Oh well, at least I know it's there now :) Thanks for posting everyone!

Games GuruJust watched The Name of the Rose recently. An excellent film that I'll watch again sometime in the not too distant future. I love films based around pre 18th century stories. there have been quite a few released of late such as Barbarossa, Army of Valhalla (Polish), Ironclad, Henry of Navarre (French), The Last Legion, Solomone Kane, Valhalla Rising (virtually no dialogue), By the Will of Kenghis Khan, The Eagle and Season of the Witch, all excellent films.
I bought all the Postal games from GOG. There's a new one to be released in December called Postal III which you can check out HERE. Actually I've just dicovered that this game will depict real people (Celebrity characters: Super porn star Ron Jeremy, Village People Cowboy Randy Jones, Internationally hated film director Uwe Boll and Playboy Playmate Jennifer Walcott), so not sure how I'm going to react to this game.

After doing some digging I found 'The Abbey', as mentioned above, is still being sold by the original producer but has been updated to the 'Director's Cut' which includes bug-fixes, optimizations, new puzzles, other stuff. Check the website; available for $9.99, or whatever that works out to in your local currency :)
