Y óla Señorita Clown.
Que estoy haciendo bien, y necesito toda la práctica que puedo obtener ..(ok so I cheated and used the translator for this line…..hope it says what I intended ;))
Your posts are cracking me up! I had forgotten what a "clown" you are......I know.....how could I???? YES, that name fits you to a T.
As for the Spanish, I only just started a few weeks ago. We're planning (have been for a year and a half) to move to Texas so hubby thought it would be a good thing for me to do.....[Oh why do I listen to him?] Anyway, I found out a retired school teacher was doing free classes at a church nearby so I went to check it out and had a blast! They are in the 2nd book and have been doing classes for 4 years already (they meet once a week for about 12 weeks 2 x's a year). I do great with pronunciation and reading. In fact in my second night at the class I read an entire sentence. Everyone was real impressed......then I said, "OK, now tell me what I just read because I have no clue". I thought the teacher was gonna drop her teeth. It was a real hoot. So I was able to go to about 6 classes before they ended for the summer. Now I have purchased Book 1 and I'm going through it on my own.....I'm almost at the end of lección 4, and I use Google Translate A LOT!!!! It helps. I also found some websites where you can hear the pronunciations, which also helps. What’s funny is that after I spend an hour or 2 working on the lessons I start speaking English with a Spanish accent. I tend to pick up accents very quickly…like if I talk to someone with a southern drawl for just half an hour I have to force myself to NOT speak with the same drawl…go figure!
Soooooooo......there you have the whole story......aren't you just thrilled out of your mind.
You’ve already found out that Laurie is still here, as for MZ, she has not been around in quite a while due to personal issues.
Gotta get going….catch you later….
