Let's discuss all the daily Gamehouse games here instead of posting a new topic for it everyday. One of the moderators will keep the topic title up to date.
Today's is "The Hidden World of Art". Those of you who even remotely enjoy hidden object games will enjoy this game for it's extremely fine graphics, characters, and sound effects, and the excellent portrayal of many fine works of art... that you will be restoring. Don't miss this one.

I recommend the Mystery of Unicorn Castle; I have almost finished it, and have enjoyed it.
I read that our own W Rabbit had liked it and saw that it was available at iwin..
It is challenging but the hidden objects are pretty clear and you can have hints without penalties.
It is quite spooky so those who enjoy their games with a few hair raising noises and scenes will be in their element...
I did get the Hidden World of Art (nice to have a game to look forward to!)

I, too, have Hidden World of Art and really like it as far as I was able to go. Unfortunately (a good ways into the game, sorry can't remember if there is a level or not), I had to get a hint to find a large spoon?? (it was a silhouette) which was laying on a hexagonal nut on a table but it wasn't there. I tried clicking all around it. If you get to that particular one and are able to pick it up, would you let me know, please? Maybe I just need to download it again. Thanks!

Hi, Jan56... I've played Hidden World of Art before it appeared on GameHouse, so have played it through. Hmm... I don't recall a problem finding a spoon... do you recall which picture it was? Are you still stuck there? Perhaps I could look at that level. (wonder if you can replay particular ones...) I was so enthralled with that game because of the beautiful works of art. :)
And yea, Merri... I've just started Mystery of Unicorn Castle. They've had a good run of games lately.

Hi Midori.....thanks for your reply. Yes, I am still stuck. I swear there is NO spoon. It is the pic of a man and woman in a restaurant and he is leaning on his hands and she is drinking a cup of tea/coffee and she has a dog in her lap. The nut is laying on the table completely to the left next to where the silhouettes are. I don't see very well but still love these HOG's and especially took a shine to this one and am disappointed that I can't finish. I went back and tried clicking everywhere around it but it showed me exactly where it was when I took the hint but it just wasn't there. Thanks so much for your reply and so quickly........P.S. As far as I know, there aren't really any levels per se here. They just keep flowing from one picture to the next and it looks like you have to restart the whole game again but not totally sure of that.

Midori and Merri, Please disregard the above post. I would have edited it if I could have but couldn't figure out how. Anyway, I got back into Hidden World of Art and decided to see what would happen if I restarted.....lol. It wouldn't let me save the game I had before and I started from the beginning. Anyway, the picture I was on when I got stuck was about 13 or 14 paintings into it called James Tisset - Un Dejuner and when I played it the second time, it gave me a list instead of silhouettes. I did however find the spoon but not until I picked up what THEY called a bolt and I say it is a nut. Anyway, it now works so thanks for your help........

Sorry I didn't reply before, but see that Midori helped you??
I actually haven't started the Hidden World yet; have just been addicted to 4 elements and was finishing The Mystery of Unicorn Castle..
Some Hidden Object games are written in Europe and then are translated(they are wonderful games but the translations sometimes are confusing, aren't they?!)
The Unicorn castle game had some items and in other scenes, silhouettes that were TOTALLY confusing but luckily the hint button had no limits..lol

Howdy, Jan... LOL! I'm laughing because I should've read this a bit ago, as I just played through the game to get to that picture. (But hey, it was fun! you know how quickly you can do things the second time 'round...) But I just found it, and was coming here to post it was a silver spoon right underneath that bolt... and you're right, it's a NUT! Lol! I didn't even catch that. Anyway, glad you found the spoon! Now you can spoon on with the paintings. *&:-D

It does go much faster second time around......lol. I also have had some problems later on, especially with the pairs. They show that you can get an object but don't have the second one to go with it. I haven't finished the game but it's happened a few times now. I haven't started playing The Mystery of Unicorn Castle yet but that might be my next one. Thanks everyone for your help!

4/21: Charm Tale 2 is an extremely charming game by Puzzle Lab. You match crystals by running your cursor along them for points, and the graphics and storyline are... well... charming! To say the least. Extremely worth getting if you don't have it. I played it quite awhile back when it first came out, so this will probably prompt me to play it again.
Midori, I got CT2 this morning for my 5 year old grand daughter, she just Loved it! I was so happy to find something slanted for girls that was, yes pretty, but also has really nice gameplay for a small child. (Bigger playing pieces that were easier for her to work with) It wasn't boring to sit through and watch her play either.
I've had no trouble finding games for her brother, but I have had a much harder time finding games for the little girl that really attracts and holds her interest. Thanks for the heads up!
Game Top has a game called A-B-O-O that is really nice for little girls too. The game pieces are really beautiful and the gameplay is fast and fun. Not complicated, at least not the levels that we have played so far. It is a match three, but with it's own twist. The game pieces are consistently changed, so it stays fresh.

I am REALLY enjoying it...it is very much an adventure /hidden object,melange...
Some have said that they don't like the chatter between the two characters, but you can completely mute that and still have the regular background "real life" sounds...

I got stuck on the very first scene on the boat when I couldn't find the funnel (it was supposed to be revealed automatically but mine wasn't). I started again under another name and found it and since then I am really enjoying it. I love games with unlimited hints because I really need them and I really like the grid feature instead of the twinkling lights around a general area. I just finished the Washington section and will continue on shortly. Tomorrow there is another Hidden Objects game - one of the Natalie Brooks ones. I couldn't get the last one to play but hopefully this one will work.

Yes the start was a bit tricky..I couldn't find one of the gas tanks.
Having unlimited hints and NO timer is SOOO nice!
YES the grid feature is great!
That is odd that the funnel wasn't revealed, glad that you are enjoying it now!
I had the first Natalie Brooks (through Iwin) and loved it.Hopefully this first one will work for you!
The second one, I couldn't play either...so many BUGS!!

I must have missed it, if so!
Anyhow, yes it is lots of fun, and very different!
Yes they are overenthusiastic(and they are a bit unappealing too..)
but I am glad one can mute their voices(smart of the creators which I was interested to see is Goji (sp?) games who had the game, "escape the museum"!

Well I'm baffled.....you both mentioned unlimited hints.....Are you talking about the ability to click on an item and see it's outline, or are there other hints that I'm missing? I like this one, it;s a bit different from the usual seek n find. I only got as far as the Washington Monument before I had to quit so I'm heading back to play some more now.

Hi Buckleysmom..yes there is that but BESIDE that there is what they call the PDA..on the far right..the one with the little ascending vertical lines (like a phones connection bars)
you can click on the ? there and they show a grid on the screen with the object given a coordinate(ie.."the object is at G7" or something like that.
Sounds confusing but it is kind of neat and there is no limit to how often you use this...
(just takes a while to reload)
The game is quite a bit different!

Merri....Yeh, I found it. I remembered you guys mentioning the grid so I looked for it. That is helpful when you get completely stuck.
Did you have any problem with the bridge? When I got there the game quit on me and when I went back in it seemed to skip over that part and go right to the screen where Zoe has to find the parts of the scope so she can look at the bridge. The only way I knew it missed a part was because Zoe and Charleston were discussing it and their conversation was sort of "overlapping".......they were both talking at once.
Gotta quit for tonight....catch you tomorrow.

Yes exactly, looking quickly is essential ...I didn't see which grid box at first and even wondered HOW this was helping...LOL!

Same here....I didn't see that it gave the cell to look in at first either.
Terri....the PDA is the thing in the bottom right corner where you can see the outline of items and where you click on the X to reveal the grid.
I couldn't download the Natalie Brooks game either. I've had this happen before at Gamehouse and I just wait and try later....usually at some point it works.
