I haven't forgotten about the keys promised; was hoping more from the list I've posted would have posted here by now. I will re-announce the winners on Saturday morning and will send keys out to those who have decided on their choices by the end of the weekend, I promise. will also be adding more keys this weekend, so an opportunity to change your selection one last time if you see a better game.

Hello Stephen, Thank you very much for offering all these keys and thank you also for giving me one for my review of Old Clockmaker's Riddle. If it's still available please could I have the key for Tibetan Legends: the World's End? I only play games that don't require quick reactions as I have problems in that respect, so I stick to HOGs, HOPAs and IHOGs.

...Yu have my e-mal I think or PM here to get me. TY for your time effort etc...
1. Dessert Storm- one of the first yu listed- in your long list. Conflict
2. Gundemonium Recollection- JAPAN sidescroller, shoot'em. Hopefully everyone here is healthy & happy today...
I am not too good at playing though AAA games, the buttons are not right for me- and too complicated. I guess I am too slow with the controls....Stephen if yu can play them it means yu are not old. I think old means bad player at these games.Posted 7 years ago # -
Will sort all the games out very soon. I w anted to wait until most of the community members listed above had responded with their preferred games. It saves me time if I do it all in one go. A couple more to respond then I'll send all the keys out. So far I think everyone gets the choices they have made. :)

Hiya Stephen. Guess I got another choice so besides "the Rebel" I was thinking about releasing you from "The Albatros"
Posted 7 years ago # -
p.s sorry about not listing more choices, it was hard enough to find these 2 interesting ones as it is. I am a bit picky when it comes to games and most listed are just not my cup of tea ;) If my choices are already gone I have no problem passing up on the keys ;)

I promised I'd send out Steam keys last weekend, but got some awful news late on Sunday evening. My Uncle was in hospital and wasn't expected to live out the next few days. So I spent Monday trying to find a way to go see him (I'm not allowed to drive anymore due to the opiate meds I have to take and a taxi was out of the question as it would have cost me too much); unfortunately he passed away early Tuesday morning before I could go visit, but then I got even more bad new that my brothers partner had also passed away (she was only in her mid 50's) She'd gone to bed early because she wasn't feeling well. When my brother went up later he found her dead. From what my brother described I think she suffered a massive stroke. So I've not been much interested in doing anything other than contacting family and getting things ready for the funerals. I've had to buy some new clothes becasue my old decent stuff no longer fit me.
I will be posting some info on tomorrows games, but they won't be full reviews as I'm not in the mood to play anything at the moment.
I'm sorry it's taking so long to send you all the keys. I'm very disorganized, have been since my accident. I have most the keys ready to send out; I was just waiting for a few more of the winners to let me know what the wanted so that I could sort it all in en-mass instead of having to do it in bits. I will get the keys to you as soon as possible.
RegardsStephen
p.s. at least this delay gives you the opportunity to change your mind as I am posting more games fairly regularly. Got some more to add tomorrow (later on Saturday 1st April)

Hello Stephen/Whiterabbit. So sorry to hear that. I do not think there is one here, who is unsympathetic to your family's situation, so you should not be worried that we cannot wait some more; anyway they are only video games...but, family is family. Now is the time for the family to come together and support one another through these trying times. May God give to the ones that passed a spiritual peaceful resting, and to the living the feeling of life from within, so they can find strenght in it an continue with their destinies. Anyway, they just went back into the world from which they came here, in this world, through their willful birth; we will all go back there when we are finished with our own destinies, or when we are needed there. For me these are not just empty words, I feel them, so I hope they will help you in some way to get back to your feeling of inner comfort. God made us capable of enjoing our family through happy times and through trying times; just go there and enjoy your family -these are precious moments.

Thank you idluckyone, I am looking forwards to seeing family members. Since my paternal grandmother passed (same day as John Lennon Dec 1980) the family has basically fractured. We used to have big family gatherings on all the important dates throughout the year e.g. Easter, Christmas, Guy Fawkes Night (we used to have a massive bonfire with hundreds of fireworks donated by most of the families that attended), plus special anniversaries and birthdays etc, but that all stopped when my grandmother passed. I've only seen some of my cousins a couple of times since then and only when we've had other funerals to attend.
My cousin, who I last spoke to around 10 years ago sent me (via his drop box) a 45 minute video which is mainly of me as a young child on vacation with my grandparents. I spent most of my childhood with my grandparents due in part to my father working away from home and my mother being full of mothers little helpers. My grandfather was a keen cinematographer, and took literally hundreds of hours of film of the family back in the 50's/60's and 70's. He used to work with another cinematographer/inventor/archiver called Sam Hannah, and his love of cine and photography rubbed off on me at a very early age. I have fond memories of helping him in his dark room as a child. He gave me my first SLR camera when I was 8 years old (a Russian Zenith camera, the one that came in an aluminum case and had a shoulder stock that looked like the stock of a rifle), and the equipment to develop and print my own photographs (B&W only) when I was 11 years old. Their garden shed was my laboratory where I made depth charges out of calcium carbide (produces acetylene gas when water is added), as well as flares, gun powder and other pyrotechnic wonders. Yeah, fond memories. :)
We've also been exchanging old B&W photos over the last few days, mainly from the 1960's. Yes, family is important.

Hi Mavadelo, have you deleted some of your comments? I can't find the name of the Anime game you wanted? Please remind me. Thanks.
Posted 7 years ago # -
Hiya Rabbit, no I did not delete any but it could well be I messaged you the name on Steam. I think it was Aozora Meikyuu and there was the Rebel for another "earned" key and I believe I have to choose another one for the past weekend but haven't decided yet on that. Bought Stranded Deep yesterday so will be playing that one and hoping to get into ESO someday soon as well :)
There is no hurry, I fully agree idluckyone, family first, we can wait :)Posted 7 years ago # -
Okay folks. I'm sorting out the keys for those who have made choices.
There are still some community members that are owed a key but haven't responded yet:
Torque 2 keys
Fran
Mr Dave
Lee C
Thomas Zwilling
JoeJIt's possible that you've not seen my messages or even know you've won a key, so I will email those who haven't chosen yet once I've found their emails..)

Hi, Rabbit! I just saw you awarded me yet another game; I'd already chosen the three you asked for (earlier in this thread) ages ago, so while I'm waiting for those, just go ahead and add any HOG/adventure type game you think is good :). Thank you so much; I enjoy helping out in the discussions, since I get so much from GGOTD and like to give back!

"...the simple concept of being so negative will drive developers from giving away their games. "
I think the differentiation should be made as to where the negativity is aimed.
If a manufacturer wants to enter a new market where a similar product is already available, but people are dissatisfied with the existing marketing, then those negative attitudes do not apply to the new manufacturer and actually may provide further incentive to enter that market.

WhiteRabbit, thank you again for offering a free game for my post on the Joan Jade game. I would like to get Glow. If that's not available then Dungetris, Space Scaven or Mines of Mars would be great.
In case anyone is looking for recommendations, you have many good games in the list. The ones I like best (that I have played!) are Marble Duel, Larva Mortus, Rescue Team 5, Cyto.
Posted 7 years ago # -
Hello again WhiteRabbit! Looks like I've got two more keys coming my way, three altogether. I'll stick with my original list (Glow, Dungetris, Space Scaven, Mines of Mars) in that order.
I'll keep writing reviews when I can, need that magical combination of available time and a game that makes me happy or not. It's nice to get a reward once in a while, even nicer if I can help someone decide if a game is good or bad for them, or if I can say something that helps a developer improve a game -- even a future one! I like your Steam key incentive, I hope it is encouraging more people to share what they think about the games.
Posted 7 years ago # -
Hi Stephen. Have you started to send the steam licenses for the games? I've been searching my email but yahoo search function inside my email, does not work all the time, so I've found nothing.
PS: How are you doing? I hope you are doing better :)

I've started to send out some keys, but I still have quite a few to send out. Everyone who has responded with a request and who have still not received a key will get their keys as soon as I'm able. As I've mentioned previously, I'm so disorganized (partly due to the opiate medications [Fentanyl and Oxycontin] and the head injury) and for the past several months time has been at a premium in the household. The main problem has been finding the keys as I didn't initially keep a separate record of all those I'd decided to giveaway on a dedicated document that lists the Steam keys I'm giving away, ( plus the names of the winners). Instead I just made a list of the games minus the codes, (the codes are all spread across several back up drives, bundle web sites (such as Indie Gala, Daily Indie Games, Otakumaker and the Humble Bundle sites) and various documents that are backed up in nested folders on my main computer). With regards to my backups, I usually start off with a 'to sort' folder on my desktop, then I decide to have a tidy up of my desktop because I hate a cluttered desktop; however, because I'm always downloading and installing games virtually every day and creating links to various sites on my desktop, it becomes cluttered very quickly. I end up just copying everything into a new folder called 'to sort' including the to sort folder I created several days previously. This usually occurs lots of times so I find I have a folder containing several to sort folders, all nested together with hundreds of other folders and shortcuts. This makes it really hard to actually find anything unless I have lots of spare time, which for the past year I've not had. Instead of sorting the folder I then back it up on one of my many external drives, thinking I'll get around to it eventually, which I rarely do unless like the situation now I've made promises. (I have tens of terabytes of backed up games, documents, music, photographs, videos and other stuff).
I'm really sorry for the delay, and can only keep apologizing until I come up with the promised keys. Which will happen.

I have so many documents labelled Steam keys, and literally hundreds of bundle documents containing Steam (and other) keys. I've been attempting to make sense of all the spare keys I have for couple of years now. I am slowly transferring all Steam key I've got to a single document, and will eventually put them all in alphabetical order. With over 10 thousand spare Steam keys I'm sure you can see I've got a mammoth task ahead of me. When I first started to buy indie bundles about 7 years ago I did keep a record of all the keys alphabetically, but when my dear friend David passed away four years ago I stopped doing that for some reason. (I bought the very first indie bundles and have more or less purchased most bundles released since, though recently I've have stopped myself buying bundles if I already have all of the games in the bundle, but prior to earlier this year, even bundles that didn't give me a new game I'd still buy, partly because I've always believed in supporting game developers, but also more recently because of my intention to include a giveaway element to the review site that Mavadelo has created for me (in no way will that site be a competitor to the giveaway site. Games will be offered to those who contribute to the site and there won't be giveaways where thousands of keys are being given away at a time).
I'm still way behind adding reviews to the site and as yet it remains closed to the community until I can summon the strength and spare time to be more dedicated. Apart from the reviews we hope to include links to free games, details of the latest bargains and of course giveaways to those who post decent feedback about the games we have included on the site. Mavadelo has been extremely patient as he created the site almost a year ago and I've done no work on it at all yet, but that is partly because I have a lot going on at the moment, both with my children who are at important junctures in their lives regarding exams and life choices, so I feel I need to give a lot more time to help them ; my son (aged 18) is doing his A levels (the actual exams start in four weeks, and he requires a minimum of two A's and a B to get on the Pharmacy course he wants to study at Manchester University in the UK (one of the top three for Pharmacy in the UK and top 10 in the world) and assuming he gets through the six year course before he can be registered as a pharmacist, it virtually guarantees a decent job at the end of it. My daughter who is 16 is doing her GCSE levels (she's two years behind my son}, and her exams start at the end of this month. Plus, I'm in the middle of a legal case involving a builder who ripped me off for over £45 000 three and a half years ago. That has already cost me well over £20 thousand in legal costs and having to have some of the original work re-done; for example, the whole of the master bedroom floor and adjoining bathroom had to be ripped out because they had not put any insulation underneath nor had they put ventilation in and the plumbing to the bathroom was really sub standard to the point it was leaking under the sealed floor, plus the whole of one wall had to be stripped back to the brick because they had located a gas pipe behind the plasterboard and not put it in a protective sheath, which was against gas safety rules in the UK and both bedroom windows and the bathroom window had to be changed becasue they had put them in at a the wrong height and had put smaller windows than the original architects plans had requested.
Anyway, all Steam keys will be sent out as soon as I find them. Once I've received confirmation that a community member has received their keys and they have activated okay all posts associated with that member concerning their choices plus my replies, will be deleted from this thread. Please excuse the waffle, I can't help myself. :)

State of Anarchy.
Thank you for awarding me a free key last week, its much appreciated. I hope you're feeling better as I know from our emails (about Pearl Harbor: fire on the water) that you haven't been in the best of health. Hope things are getting better for you. I kind of feel bad about bothering you actually , but hey...... free game! lol. If you can't find or its already gone instead of State of anarchy just about anything would be appreciated. Thank you both for the free game and for all you do.

Hi hi, Stephen. This references today's giveaway of Trio: The Great Settlement. I'm pleased you liked my feedback - it's a game I'll play to relax - and offered me a key. Yay!
No worries on the memory thing, as my is only less scatty now my iron levels are back up. ^^ I know the struggle...
Okay, re last year, I'd asked for a game from the Sakura series (pretty artwork!). However, if it's still available, may I have The Last Days of Spring please? I'd love to gift it to a friend who's been rather down lately.
For today's gift, can I choose from the lists further down? It'd be nice to have either Remnants of a Beautiful Day or Glass Wing. If it has to be from the list at the top: Atonement: Scourge of Time.
On topic: Why does Guardians of Victoria have such a bad rating? Does it really run that poorly?
Off topic: It's cool that you're spending so much time with your kids - even it is studying, lol. Hope all the hard work pays off for them. Never did much in Sciences myself and certain things in Maths, I just hate, like statistics and calculus. Ugh. Wish I'd one English Lit. like your wife did. Might have chosen a different career path. Still with my crafts for now.
Thanks for offering the gift and a possible one from last year if still available. Cheers. ^_^

Hi Sergio, so long as the email you used to register here is genuine, I need nothing e;se. Sorry it's taking so long to send out keys. Been so busy over the last several weeks have really not had the time to sort it. My son finishes his exams this coming week, so will finally send out all owed keys.
And John Franklin, thanks for the email. :) All will get their keys, I promise.

Whiterabbit, I had asked for Dungetris as one of the games I wanted from your list, but I picked that up in another bundle. So please give that game to someone else. That leaves my preferences, in order, as: Glow, Space Scaven or Mines of Mars. If one or more of them is not available, I would add Remnants of a Beautiful Day to the list. And I'm seriously not in any hurry. You've had a lot going on, hope your kids are doing great on their exams!
I have a lot of extra keys from bundles as well (many of the same ones you have) and would be happy to donate some to your cause. How can I tell if they're still good?
