Sorry nota, this is about either banning someone or getting someone to screen the offensive comments so they don't get into the Italian comments section. We haven't gotten to the right person for that, yet. That person probably won't need a translator,.and will use one if they do. Some of the Italian regulars came here, hoping to get in touch with somebody. I'm with you, banning doesn't solve the problem in the long run. There's no substitute for conscientious moderation in the comments section. Even though some (or all) are volunteers and I don't want to give them more work, it seems the only solution that permanently solves the problem. By the way, wondering if you had any success with your computer issues? Waiting for your post in that thread. I'm assuming you're still working on it.

For NotaClue
I am only posting here, to reply to your comment (I somehow lost link to thread and only printed one or two as luck is not with me I guess printer ran out of black ink about same time.) I do not wish to get invoved in the topic of this threads debate.
There are several ways to get to the thread you started, One, I have posted a link to it below.
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/4621
The rest of these are for future referance.
2. You can click on the word, member below your name and it will take you to your profile page, which will list all the threads you have made a post in. This is a good way to keep track of all the threads you are interested in.
3. I will make a post in your original thread, which will push it to the top of the list of the main forum topic page. Any time a thread is gone from the main page it will be brought to the top again when a member makes a post in that thread.
4. When you get to the thread that you started, you can ,right click in a blank section of the page and choose the create a shortcut option from the pop up window, to put a shortcut on your desktop, which will take you directly to that page for future referance. Just double click on the icon that is placed on your desktop.
5. You have to be logged in Username and Password, at the top right corner of main page . Then click on View your profile in the same area, on your profile page , you can click on the word Favorites, It will explaine how to save only the threads you want to check later.
Hope this helps, and a big welcome to the forums.

Hello,
more than 1 year is passed since the last post of this thread, and I want to put again the attention to the situation of Italian section.
We haven't only "Giovi69" between us, but also another figure called "Cerbotto"; they posts ironics messages almost every day, defining themselves "Special Ones" and "geeks" with an "incredibly fluent english", and writings a lot of off-topics and grotesque messages... "Cerbotto" also says to conquers a lot of girls on the beach thanks to his fluent english (from this, you can understand what is their level of comments!!!).But, I think they're funny and not offensive (even if they call the other italian people "poor devils" because in our country most of us don't know English very well), and some users says to go on Giveaway website only to read their funny comments. So I don't think is this the problem.
The problem is that now in our section there is a very "strange" moderation, and our comments are published after 4-5 hours they has been writing.
This moderation was caused by an unsubstainable situation in this section in the past months, due to offensive message written by some stupid people (not Giovi or Cerbotto, but "Fiorella" and other users).Honestly speaking, I don't know if this moderation is a good method, because now is absolutely impossible to have a "real-time" help in our section.
The publication of message is really too slow and in my opinion the function of the comments is damaged from this.Bye!
