I dont have anything new to add but just wanted to bring this thread to the top again. It would be nice if we could read More about peoples backgrounds. Thanks.

funkymom......what year were you in Israel?.......and do you have long hair like Cher?
Paulga
Posted 16 years ago # -
paul- i was in israel from 1987 through 1989, although i was back in ny for a few months in the middle of that time. and lol, i do not have long hair like cher. it's been relatively close, but not for a very long time.
pieter- i'm terrible with geography, so even after looking at the map, i don't know this. where are you in relationship to delft? my ex-husband's father is dutch born, and they still have family in rotterdam. but back in 1994 we spent, almost a month, in delft. it was right around christmas/new years and it was a wonderful time. i really enjoy holland and dutch people, in general. this does not include my ex and his dad.
i'll bet we could start a game, where someone lists a place where they have lived and someone who has also spent time there posts next and lists another place where they have lived, and so on.......
--------------------------
edit-- paul- what is the connection between israel and me having "cher hair"?Posted 16 years ago # -
funkymom...........ah i spotted a picture??.....not the one with the Beatle fan singing, and if it were YOU......and i am sure it was......you were Cher like?....well at the time of the picture, with the young Beatle fan in arms? oh and as you know i spent a while in Jerusalem....lived on the Via Del Rosa, in the old city, but that was back in the 1965 and then returned 1968, last time was 1970......not in mufti i might add......but i did not get any tattoos......like you....grin
Paulga
Posted 16 years ago # -
but, i didn't get the tattoo on via del rosa, the guy talked me out of it. i made up for it a few years later.
what picture did you see of me?
Posted 16 years ago # -
funkymom.........was sure it were you?.....but living in...." Canada "....so for certain,...its NOT you......"sounded".....like,......same as with me there are several Paulga's out there,....and one only about 60 mile from me,.....every body thinks i am him?.....but its worse on him?.....grin,...he has a lot to explain???

This is fun. A few off you know be by my name, so i introduce myself.
My name is Jacquelien, but most of the people say Jacq wich is fine by me.
I live in Lopik in The Netherlands, so Pieter i am glad that i am not the only one from Holland.
I am 39 years young, hahaha and have 2 kids, 2 boys. They are now 11 and 9 years. The most beautifull kids in the world. (every mom will say that). I love pets a lot. I have a dog, a Jack Russel named Bo, a cat named Misty, 2 rabbits named Zwartje and Grijsje and 2 rats named Glow and Dragon. My big wish all my life is to have a horse.
So i keep wishing and dreaming of a horse.Just 3 weeks ago i break up my relationship with my boyfriend after almost 6 years.
He was not mister right for me, so i am now a happy single on the hunt again for a man, so man, look out, hahahaha.
A good idea for this topic, its fun to read where everyone lives. Some of you lived in different places. My life began in Holland and propebly ends in Holland.
I am a very open person, so if anyone have questions, just ask me.crazyritten.
Posted 16 years ago # -
crazyritten.........well i was sure that i had the most pets, and nobody could NEARLY match ME,.......but you are catching up,.......with the rabbits and cats you could?,.....very soon.So man hunting?,.......that rules me out,.....age wise!......as 24 years ago i was your age!......then with my pets and yours we could nearly have filled the Ark,....my 8 cats, 8 kittens, two dogs, two hedgehogs, and two aquariums,....you will find lots of the other members have several pets,...so hang around.

Hello hotdoge3, yes Kiwis are welcome and adored. Although there are many compelling reasons to stay in NZ, you have a female PM, a progressive society, beautiful landscape and friendly people. The economy is also very strong but its good that we can both share each others countries.
Hi Buckleysmom, you must have missed my five posts (page 2) about my background. I was worried that Bubby would ban me for spamming if I posted anymore. And yes we do share number-crunching/bookkeeping as a job. I hope that you are very well bkm.

Paulga, wow, what a lot of pets have you. It is that i live now in a small house that i don't have more pets.
i have been looking for a bigger house for the past 2 years and i hope that i get a bigger house this year. Then i will begin with a new nest of rats. I'm a big fan of Golden Retreiver dogs, so with more room i think i will get 1.I will stay around here because i like i very much to communicate with other people around the world. Maybe i can learn more.
Its nice to be single, but sometimes i need a hug and love from man. Age doesn't matter that much to me. I want a man who is faithful to me and my kids, romantic, sweet, sexy of course, very honest and trustworthy.
There will be on this earth a man of my dreams, hahahaha.
I keep looking.Posted 16 years ago # -
crazyritten........i sure hope you get your wish to have a bigger house!......as for the MAN.....he could be passing you in the street every day in Lopik?.....but if he has pets...then thats where to start,.....you know the saying......love ME.....love MY PETS, we all need a hug....even the pets, so do not give up, oh you should go over to the "Warning Don't Read This Thread" for better chit chat, pictures and well almost everything?

crazy.. if you're looking for the man of your dreams, take your sweet time, it's only been 6 weeks! Don't just jump into anything on the rebound! If it's meant to be, it will be. Most of the good ones are already taken so be careful, if they say they are still available, there might be something wrong with that picture: either they're a momma's boy, or they're still married and stepping out on their wives or they put on a good 'front' and then you find out the bad things after .. so don't just fall for anything that comes along!
Then again, there's always Paulga.. he's already been married 4 times! LOLPosted 16 years ago # -
copmom........i COULD go for five?,.....but WHO would want a guy with lots of money, lots of pets, that NOBODY so far could live with....its the humor that drives them away?

Paulga, in the street where i live, live a lot of old people. And the most of them are married or woman.
But, your right. The right man can live in my town.
I hug my pets a lot every day and they love it.
The right man for me must love pets, if he don't, then i show him the door, hahaha.
I keep on looking, but i am take it slow. My time will come.
I will sure look at warning, don't read this thread. I love to read and so i shave up my english.
Copmom, thank you for your wise words. I will take it slow. Its a short time now and i will focus now on my kids, thats the important thing right now.
I have learned again in this relationship. And i will be carefull in the future and take a good look around. I'm still a young chick hahaha, so i have the time of the world. Darn, Paulga beat me 3 times. I have 1 marriage behind me, so i don't think that i can catch up with that.Paulga, even for you is out there a woman who love pets and humor. Look at me. And there are lots of me around the world. And there a plenty of woman who will love your money also, hahaha. I would be rather happy with a little money, then onhappy with a lot of money. You cant't by love at any way.

crazyritten.....hi again,......yes copmom IS right,....take it slow,....."i did not",then as maizeydaze said,..."i am fast",.....to make a move,.....without thinking?, she said it in a nice way,...grin!.....you can say most things to friends and they do not take offence , and you say you like the "Don't Read This Thread"!....you should post over there as you will have more people to talk with, so over you go, there are pets to see there?,,,i mean four leg types,...smile,...and a Goat?

robm...I'm fine, thanks. I did see your earlier posts...just forgot between there and here. That was quite a few days ago too :) These threads can all get very confusing. Plus I get agrivated with myself because I plan to say something and get sidetracked then end up saying something different but don't realize till after sending that I didn't say what I intended....UGH! Sometimes I edit but most times I just let it be. Watch out with that number crunching. I did it for so many years that I have carpal tunnel in both wrists, arthritis in both thumbs and now I also have tendenitis in my left thumb. I drop things all the time because I can't tell how well I'm taking hold of them. It gets very frustrating, especially when trying to do something delicate like thread a needle. I went to visit a young friend who just had her first baby. He was only 3 days old. Her husband handed me the baby and "after" I took him I said, "You do realize that I drop things, right?" You should have seen the look on his face....it was priceless.
Posted 16 years ago # -
BK.. I can just picture the look on their faces!!!! And you're right about getting sidetracked! I can't tell you how many times I get on a website, click a link, then another, and before you know, I forgot what I was looking for in the first place.
Same thing here around the house.. I go to a room to get something, and before I get that I stop to do something else, and on and on. It's a wonder I get anything done at all!
And this forum is really confusing because I really get sidetracked on here clicking on everything! Arggggggh!Posted 16 years ago # -
Hi BuckleysMom and Copmom. Yes I do know what you mean about being distracted and side-tracked. I always have multiple tabs open and am doing several things at once. I blame the Internet and Cable Television for our short attention spans. Its funny my teenage nieces and nephew can negotiate MSN, surfing the Net as well as doing their homework. And they are all straight A students, go figure. It gives a whole new meaning to the word Multi-tasking.
Bkm I am sorry to hear about your Carpal Tunnel with your wrists and fingers. I will keep an eye on it with myself. That was very funny what you said about the baby, though. Just like the Ad, Priceless (in jest of course).

And back to the topic, I have also lived in London, England in addition to having spent most of my time in Sydney, Australia. Sydney is a fairly big city, I think once you tire of her, you tire of life in general.

Hello Funkeymom,
as you experienced: I'm not always at the forum (study, work, etc.) so I'll reply late. But thank you for your interest!!
Delft is on the very other side of the Netherlands. I'm living in the east, not far away from the IJsselmeer (the big water that divides the northern side of Holland.
've been in Delft. It is a great city, full of history and old buildings...I encounter very much people from over the whole world who think Holland is small. And yes it is, but it's to big to cruise very fast :-/

Does the place of birth also matter?
I've been one day in the hospital, for I'm a twin :)Posted 16 years ago #
