   kerikaz- me too, very sorry for your loss. i lost my dad almost a year ago and i still miss him. i guess i always will.

   what's going on it's been 50 hrs since last game i've already conquered all the games {from ggaotd} so don't respond wit h go and play an old one
   and if they want to take a couple of days of then they could atleast put something up to warn us

    Just an idea guys, are you allowed to offer games you offered previously? I'm not entirely sure how this all works but it might appease some and always nice for those who might have missed a day.

    PMcOuntry- From what I've picked up here and there, nope. Not Allowed.

    Release *or* re-release has to be negotiated for every giveaway, and when you're talking 20,000+ copies, easy, for a one-day giveaway... that's a non-trivial problem. and then things get... interesting.

    kerikaz, I recall when I lost my dad. It does take a toll, but this too will pass.

    goldeneagle, that's part of the new-slang 733T-speak, or a variant- I'm not sure- but then, it fits the cats...

    I don't know if this site has been mentioned in the various lists of other places to play games since the cut back of GGOTD to weekends only, but here it is just in case you need some free games to bridge the gap...

    kerikaz.. I too am sorry for your loss! He's probably smiling down at you right now, and he'll always be there in your heart!

    macka.. some games are fun replaying them over and over!

    and I still have a ton of the old DOS, Win3.1 and Win95 games still on floppies! Shame that I haven't been able to replay some of those on WinXP! But, this machine doesn't even take the 5-1/4" floppies.. oh, guess I could copy them to the 3-1/2" ones and then install!

    Maybe, but it's not that simple to do - and surely you don't want them to make this "game on the weekend" thing permanent? Hopefully it is only until the current projects and workload start to wind down.

    If you include the forums - I'm sure that together, we can come up with a game a day. Even if it's not commercial - I have seen (mentioned in these forums) freeware games that blow the socks off some of the commercial games that are available.

    BTW, copmom- a trick I came with to let you do 1.2 mb 5-1/4" to 3-1/2" using discopy for exact dupes, or put images of those discs on 3.5's- go into the bios and tell it the 3.5 is a 5.25 and it makes them format as 1.2 mb. worked pretty good backing up when I ran low on the bendy ones. :)
