   I believe this should be filed under the Department of Specificity, or, perhaps, the Department of Self-Fulfilling Prophesy. At least, I hope:

   "I hope it works the way I hope it does."

   Here’s one for the record books that I think is worthy of entry with the others. This is a comment from the recent "Folder Marker Home" GOTD that takes your breath away and leaves you speechless. The subject came about as a response to a GOTD visitor who resorted to using a cliffhanger ending in their comment as a means to promote their personal web site. The comment was stylized in that good, bad, and “verdict” format that some editors use when evaluating a program on sites such as Softpedia, PC Mag, Computerworld, etc.

   Now that in and of itself is no big deal as long as the comment is not plagiarized. However, this commenter would force a reader to leave the GOTD site and go to their personal web site in order to see their “verdict”. So a GOTD visitor (anewbe) thought that tactic was a bit underhanded, and I agreed. This was the reactionary comment I got after siding with “anewbe”:

   “Number 52 Renagade:
   Longer comments are more likely to get caught, I guess. I’m just following Ashraf’s lead while he’s taking a break. At least we don’t make you pay for our reviews.

   Not worst, and not comments, just some more mild chucklers hopefully for your amusement from today's game giveaway. Actually, this is making fun of someone else's command of English, which I realize can be cruel. That's why I say these are just mild chucklers. However, I do wish we could get developers to understand that having someone with a good command of a language proofread your work is a business necessity. And, of course, the funny thing is that most folks here would be HAPPY to help. Yours truly included.

   From today's game giveaway, Ashton's Family Resort:
   "This is a family that came to the camping. (first level is a campground) Click them and remove to any vacant house."

   Well, there are a lot pesky people in life I'd like to "remove" but I'd prefer to a vacant hole rather than house.

   And:

   "Spraying button is used what (when) the house is attacked by thermites."
   (Alien termites? Do they breathe fire? - physics pun, rimshot please)
   "You need to take care of it as soon as possible to prevent repairing."

   If I wanted to prevent repairing, wouldn't I just let the thermites chew away?

   I hope this doesn't seem too cruel. I actually did post suggestions to correct the first two in the comments section. Me, I only speak one language, cause I just ain't that smart.

   Reading the comments today I couldn't resist and had to exhume this nearly forgotten thread. Forgive me...

   Here the family needs mental guidance,:
   

   Wow… this is the most evil piece of s… software I’ve ever seen and it’s use is certainly illegal in large parts, if not all the European Union. The ability of “Hiding” the application suggests that it’s sole purpose is to spy on other people without telling them. Also, GiveawayOfTheDay’s rule says there is no commercial use allowed, so I assume that everybody using this software has criminals in their family which need mental guidance or which otherwise show ill mannered online behavior? If you don’t have these in your family this piece of software is not for you.

   I strongly suggest everyone to find some real friends you can trust. And in case you need this to spy on your kids you better save the money you spend on PC’s for a good lawyer.

   Sorry for the harsh words, I prefer trust and good manners over control anytime.
