   Found this: If you happen to have a Seagate or Maxtor Drive, they offer a free download of Acronis TI as a 'special version' of one of their 'tools' (That is, "DiskWizard" and "MaxBlast")...free is about as good as it gets for a program like this!

   Hope it still works.

   Have you tried any of the Ashampoo products? Their Burning Studio 6 is free. This Xmas they sent me an email with 6 of their products(older ones but full versions) for free. I put up with their spam because certain times of the year they give their older versions for your birthday etc.

   I am not sure if Paragon Disk Manager 8 is still free. That is a good program also. I would have to find my email to figure that out..Let me know.

   I just got another key for Paragon Disk Manager 8 so it still is avaiable. :)

   Make sure you read and register and they send you the key. In the GOTD software TODAY people have mentioned Paragon in some of the comments......because it is GOOD! I went to the forum reagrding the software they are offering today and most of the ways things were solved is..they gave the money back. I know of a forum where you can get help if you need it for Paragon.

   I also just got another key for Paragon Disk Manager 8 so it still is available. :)

   It took me less than 5 minutes from the time I read your email to have the software downloaded and a registration key after registering it with Paragon (it turned out I already had a Paragon account but no problems).

   I was mulling about today's give away, the partition thingy and I had just decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I read some of their forum posts and it looks like folks are having data lost because of it. There are angry letters and even one that uses the words "contacting the authorities". That was just too much for me.

   But here you come with your post and I get a professional, fully tested and comercial partition program (among other things) for free.

   Thank you for your holiday gift!

   I am very lucky to have found all of you GAOTD good guys that see their way about helping each other instead of wasting time bickering and posting useless comments.

   I also subscribe to the "pay it forward" philosophy and I try to help people if I possibly can. I find the people who post on the GAOTD Forums are much nicer and more willing to help than the people who post on the daily GAOTD comments.

   Unfortunately praising y'all is not the main reason I am posting. I got the "Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8 Special Edition" installation program from the link you provided and after I got the email with all the registration info, I created a System Restore point and tried to install the Disk Manager from Paragon.

   I got to the point where the registration info MUST be entered to continue the installation but the "Next" button that is grayed out when the window first opens does not become black and functional after all the information is entered. I am writing an email to the folks at Paragon but I wanted to check here to see if you had any similar problems during the installation of this software.

   Hi Mario,

   If you are still having problems, start another thread as I really don't feel comfortable hijacking this thread anymore. Mr B seems to have gotten it to work and my hubby and I had no problems. Maybe an uninstall and reboot and reinstall is in order.
