   The main reason people use Internet Explorer is because they have Windows. And Windows comes with it. A lot of these people do not have an open mind, which is required to try firefox.

   I think a lot of Firefox users after using Firefox for a long period of time find it is a much better browser than Internet Explorer and discontinue using it.

   Firefox is superior:
   -Looks better, it is smoother and easier to use
   -Easier, it has tabbed browsing and built in good stuff
   -More stuff, it has plugins and themes
   -Faster, not only is it faster but you can make it even more faster with fasterfox extension

   well, I like to use FireFox - but some websites don't fully support Non-IE browsers, e.g. my school login site. Their "printable format" option is only meant for IE browsers only. I think Sony's notebook website requires IE too.

   Usually to surf the net, i'll use firefox. Actually i started using Firefox 1.5 in the past... and now waiting for Firefox 3 to come out...

   This allows you to run Internet Explorer inside a Firefox Tab. To a webserver, it appears exactly like IE, because it actually IS running IE. Very convenient way for web developers who need to view their web pages being rendered under IE to inspect their if IE breaks their designs.

   (One obvious downside - as the tab is running Internet explorer - your other firefox extensions and plugins will probably not work in that particular tab).

   Uh, yeah. I prefer to use IE View... there's something about IE Tab that gives me the heebee-jeebees. Then again, there's also the added benefit that IE View can automatically spawn IE if you repeatedly visit a site that requires IE.

   Keilaron, Now that you mention it - IE View could be a nicer extension to use than IE Tab (I actually forgot about IE View - I just knew there was one in the top 10 extensions - IE Tab is 7/10). In the past IE Tab has had some memory leak issues (which isn't a huge problem when it is used infrequently - but regular use might cause some problems, or require a restart to FF).

   I don't think IE View has the same probs.

   I have the latest version of IE Tab and it added two things to the context menu - Open Link in IE Tab and Open Link in Ext[ernal] App.

   The latter opens a new window of IE, which I assume is what IE View does.

   That's just it - because it launches IE, i.e. a separate process, so you don't have to worry about that. ;>

   Depending on your viewpoint. IE Tab is useless to me; IE View is tiny and does the job. The thing about extensions is that it's easy to crop up a large amount of them, so size (esp. memory usage/size) becomes a cause for concern.

    Every time you use Maxthon, you are running the core components of IE... have you never wondered why one of the stated system requirements to run Maxthon is "Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+"
