i'm so gutted!!!! been waiting around for weeks for jets'n guns to come up. just a few days ago i had a crash and when i came back online yesterday i found out that it had been given away the previous day... how lame is that???!! i would be very grateful to know if there is any possibility of a rerun of this game.
i must say i've become a big fan of your site both GAOTD and GGAOTD which i've been visiting dutifully everyday since i discovered it a couple of months ago.
anyways you guys are doing a fantastic job!! BIG thanks to the team.Posted 17 years ago # -
(The site admins were going to offer Jets 'n Guns a few weeks earlier - but decided to hold off until they got word your PC had crashed). They have decided to have another rerun of the game to coincide with your next PC crash. It's all in the timing.

Hi, I want Aone Ultra Video Splitter to be a given away software, this is a really cool software for cutting Video file into multiple part, and we still can watch them as original file.

I'd like to see a font maker of some sort since there aren't any out there that are free that I can find at least. If anyone knows of any, let me know xD

I love GAOTD, there's just one program that I haven't seen on here that would be very useful. a video converter that goes from files such as AVI, MPEG4, ASF, .... to DVD. Most of us are too cheap to buy software and i know i have friends that are too cheap to buy DVDs so they download them and want to burn them. Help out!!!

Hi,
here is a couple of more software that I would be very greatful if you could give away:
Advanced Registry Tracer by Elcomsoft - http://www.elcomsoft.com/art.html Price: US $40
Advanced Registry Tracer (ART) is a utility designed for analyzing changes made to the Windows Registry. ART does this by making 'snapshots' of the Registry and saving them in its database, which you can later browse through at your convenience.
HexCmp by Fairdell http://www.fairdell.com/hexcmp/ Price: US $29.95
HexCmp is a program, which combines together the features of a binary file compare application and a convenient hex editor. The program will help you to compare files in binary format, at the same time serving as a hex editor that will edit and modify your files.
Also, I would be very greatfull if you could rerun Invisible Secrets 4 (which you gave away on August 8, 2007) as I missed that one - http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/invisible-secrets-4/
Thanks in advance,
escanive

I would like to see 1st person shooter games that can be played against the computer and do not require going on line or playing against others. Games for Windows 98 and/or Windows XP.
I am slow and not likely to get any faster as I continue into my 60s. If I play against the computer it is only the computer that thinks that I am stupid and slow. Not to worry, the computer forgets all about me when I switch it off.
When I try to play a (free) Valve game (Half-Life 2)through the Steam Interface on my computer, I can't even find the directions for game play. I wander aimlessly through hallways and finally get jumped by someone who knows what they are doing.
Having a central area where directions for a large number of games can be found and downloaded would be almost as welcome as a new free Half-Life adventure. Do areas like I described exist?

Hey Gaotd! I have LOVED getting free stuff from you guys for a while now. I had some suggestions that you may want to check into (although I borrowed some from earlier on the list):
Parental Controls
No specific program, but these tend to either be nearly worthless or expensive so finding some program as a giveaway would be great.Hidden Objects Games
Basically any program from Stardock would be GREAT - particularly Window Blinds.
Solsuite 2007
Or some other good solitaire program with a lot of different versionsAV/Firewalls also tend to be expensive (exceptions exist) and are a must for computers....
Mental Programs - One called DigitalDominion was mentioned earlier and looked amazing. Some sort of educational software or brain challenge program would be nice every now and then.
The previsouly mentioned Nature Studio (http://www.nufsoft.com/naturestudio.php) looked great too...
Thanks for all you guys are doing. Can't wait for the next one!

No problems at all! All future MemoKitâ„¢ upgrades are free for you. We are constantly working on improving of our Software. Every 2-3 months we issue an upgrade with new fantastic features.
Thats from their website http://www.memoryoptimizer.com/
It's o.k., however, not as good as advertised.

Hey,
I ran across this tool a few days ago and it really looks nice. It allows a user to take black and white photos and color them. The link is http://www.recolored.com/ From what I gather It was freeware for a while and recently they have gone commercial. Anyway if this program could be given away here at Giveaway of the Day that would be nice.
Thanks!

The Full version of Evernote at http://www.evernote.com would be an exciting offering here. I did a search and found it was offered here in 2005 (I guess that must have been when GAOTD was new because there were only two vote for the software and no comments). I have discovered this note taking software through Firefox extensions site and have been using it for a few months now. I don't even want to find something to replace it, it is so easy to use. I have never even had to read a help file yet and it captures notes and pictures so easily. I use it on the web and for thunderbird emails.

I found a nice program called 'Studio Pop Art'. With this program you can make nice effects to your digital photo's. Effects like Andy Warhol and other filter effects you can use. The program can download at http://www.fotoview.nl/default.htm
I think this would be a nice Giveawayoftheday program.
Thanks.

I am missing my FOLDER MARKER... I lost it due to an update...
I also love wondershare converters...more more more!
and instead of a screansaver on saturday.. .perhaps some nice desktop utilities.. like clocks all over the world... all over my desktop...? that would be nice... I would like 7 different ones at least... and most freeware doesn't do that. ;-)Posted 17 years ago #
