   You can get the second Dr Who adventure game for free HERE. Unfortunately the game is restricted to UK residents; (UK residents pay a licence fee for the BBC of around $230 per year). However GMMan found a workaround that enables you to download it anywhere in the world.

   I won't post details here because I don't think it's 100% legal, but the answer can be found in these forums somewhere. :)

   The first game in the series is called City of the Daleks and can be downloaded HERE.

   There will be more episodes released soon. :)

   It's amazing how virtually everything is exploitable. The inginuity of the human race to make a fast buck really astounds me. Thankfully we only visit the official BBC site, otherwise my children and especially my son, who is a Dr Who fanatic would have tried to spend his savings. We subscribe to the BBC's Dr Who DVD series, which apart from giving us 4 episodes per month from the rejuvenated Dr Who, which is now into it's fifth series we also get films and previous episodes from the original series which ran from 1962 to I think 1985 to 7 (I didn't watch any of the 7th Doctor (Sylvester MaCoy - didn't particularily like him at the time, though after seeing some of his episodes I realise he wasn't all that bad. For the UK Dr is an institution which I doubt will be axed in the near future. There are more episodes of the Dr Who game to be released. As yet I don't know how many episodes.

   I noticed the installation directory, including the title of the game was exactly the same as the first one. that is The City of the Daleks episodes shortcut was the same as the second episode despite the second game being called The blood of The cybermen. I chqanged the installation path to reflect the name of the game but I think maybe it's been done purposly. there's the possibility that the series build into a single unit. Though i've not bothered to reinstall to check that possibility yet. :)

   @Whiterabbit: It appears to me that the games install into the same directory so that you can launch the titles from one engine. There was even a episode list of some sort when I checked out the first game. So maybe if you've already got the first episode, the second one installs more like an expansion pack than a full game.

   As GMMan says, they install to the same directory but both games are playable as 'stand-alone'. The installation of the subsequent 'episodes' doesn't interfere with save games, settings etc. in the previous game/s.
   Thanks for the heads up about this new episode, I'd never have known about it. You'd think the Beeb would have emailed/notified us!

   The latest Dr Who game has been released called Tardis. It's only free to UK residents who pay a licence fee of around $225 per year. Though if you read above, some community members have found a way around that.

    The fourth Dr Who adventure 'Shadows of the Vashta Nerada' is available from the BBC site (free to UK residents) HERE.

    The previous adventures are still available (free within the UK). Each like the new one is about 330Mb download size and need about 1.5Gb - 2Gb each hard disk install space.

    You can download these - 'City of the Daleks', 'Blood of the Cybermen' and 'Tardis' HERE

    They all need really quite a fast PC, a good graphics card and plenty of RAM, and the latest Java version installed. Get this HERE.

    If you live in the UK don't under any circumstances pay for them on any third party site.

    Outside of the UK

    Non-UK residents can legitimately buy the set of all four Dr Who adventures HERE for 10.95 Euros from Direct2Drive. (That's just over US $15 or less than US $4 per game!)

    Direct2Drive are the only company licensed by BBC Worldwide to sell these adventures outside of the UK. Any other companies offering these for sale are acting fraudulently unless they link the sale to the Direct2Drive site.

    Thanks Chazzo, I'd totally forgotten about posting the last game. It's been out for some time and my son has already played it to death, lol. For free the games are excellent. The graphics remind me of games from around 2005, but for free who can complain. Even for the price quoted by Chazzo I think these games are a worthwhile purchase. I hope they decide to do some more in the future. :)

    I didn't realize they were releasing a fifth Adventure game called 'The Gunpowder Plot' until my son happened to mention it while he was checking the Dr Who site for details of thhis chritmas Dr Who special.

    If you live in the UK you can get the game for free HERE. It will be available worldwide for a small donation, but I don't know how much.
