If you join the Dejobaan fan club, (basically a newsletter link) you can get a free game that's not disimilar to their hit game called AaaAAaaaaAAAaaa:A Reckless Disregard for Gravity; and is called TAPtapTAPtapTAP: Paralysed by Bad Fugu Nigiri. Yeah the titles weird. I downloaded my free copy yesterday and was quite impressed by it so though I'd share it with you.

I signed up for their newsletter and received an e-mail from them thanking me for joining but made no mention of any free game. What did I miss?

I got 2 emails from signing up. The thank you for joining email, and another one:
"Dejobaan Games gives you a free game in an easter egg - hope you like yolks!"
Maybe it got in your spam folder? If not email them, I only signed up today so it is still a valid offer.

Nice find, Whiterabbit. And in case anyone wants to know just what exactly this is about, I found a video on youtube.

Thanks Rabbit!
I got immediately a mail with the game link and an mp3 song.
BUT: after the splash-screen I get that lovely note from the system, telling me that the programme doesn't run anymore...
Admin-rights: doesn't help
Compatibility mode: doesn't helpHELP!!!
---EDIT---
Got it.
Had to deactivate Data Execution Prevention, DEP, and now it works.
If I only could understand HOW it works - they are telling me that I'm so sexy that it hurts (thanks, I knew that already), but never the less, I'm not really sure what I'm doing in this game. No, I'm not blond, never been...sexy-but-silly-lox

They will be releasing one of their earlier games called ‘Epidemic Groove’ a rather unusual game (as are all of Dejobaan games) to freeware soon. I’ll keep an eye out for it and post it as part of the freeware games project just as soon as they do release it.
They also have a new project called Galaxy Rage that may be open to beta testing in the coming months. The developers are very generous to their beta testers (I was given a choice from one of their games and got Inago Rage for enjoying beta testing ‘A Reckless Disregard for Gravity’). I'm still testing a levels editor for ‘A Reckless Disregard for Gravity’ which may be added to the main game as an update if and when they decide its perfected. (It works, but is a little fiddly at the moment)
TAPtapTAPtapTAP: Paralysed by Bad Fugu Nigiri is kind of hard to play initially. The basics of the game are similar to ‘A Reckless Disregard for Gravity in that you are falling from a great height and you have to avoid the blocks as you descend; however, to score points you need to almost touch the blocks as you pass them. Very challenging, especially as I found the controls rather sensitive. It does take some getting used to, but well worth persevering with. Glad you got it working Graylox. :)
I'll post some images if I remember in the morning. I meant to today, but we've had a house full of my sons friends who took over my study and all the computers for virtually the whole day, so I wasn't able to do it earlier. Now I have an appointment with some Zombies in either Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2, lol.

I've just discovered what I was doing wrong with respect to controling the movement (I didn't read the instructions on the opening page of the game, which you can see in the first screenshot above). To move you have to left click your mouse then to stop click again. not clicking will resiult in an uncontrolled spiral which inevitably ends in you losing the 3 lives you have. I was only getting down to 6% of the drop until I discovered my mistake. It's actually quite easy once you know the control sequence, thouh i still think it's sensitive. On your way down you have to collect hexagons, trying to line up to collect these can be tricky.
If you find this game entertaining you'll love AaaaAAaaaAAAaaa:A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, which has nearly 100 different levels and much more additional tasks.
You can get the alpha version of the game via the free games synopsis:

It only has about 10% of the full game, but is still a lot of fun. It's one of the rare occassions that I decided to post a demo of a game in the freeware games thread.

I did get a second e-mail a day after the first one. I got the game, thanks.

That's good news. It's strange that it took so long though?
