Once upon a solemn day,
Rosie the elephant awoke in dismay.Stumbling up from the cold barren ground,
She rubbed her eyes and peered all around.Standing small, just ahead,
A tiny tree stood—not quite dead. With nothing but raindrops and seeds at hand,
Young Rosie set out to bring life back to the land.
Today's game is a strategy/sim game titled Kabloom. Kabloom was developed by the producer, Ben Gable, of yesterday's game, Igneous. In Kabloom, the player controls an elephant named Rosie. It is your job to make the dreary little world that Rosie lives on a beautiful garden. I could try to explain exactly how to do this, but Death to Games does a great job of it in the readme:
Use your trunk to interact with the environment by blowing and sucking. Give tree saplings blue raindrops to water them. Ground Pound to create a dirt mound and place brown seeds from trees to make tree sprouts. Water a tree sprout 3 times to get a fruit from the tree. Collect 5 fruits to get the Fruit of Life from the Mother Tree. Collect the Fruit of Life to win the game. Jump on Spring Leaves to travel to other islands and explore the world!
Controls follow:
- Move Rosie: W/A/S/D Keys
Move Camera: Mouse
Zoom Camera: Mouse Wheel
Jump: Spacebar
Ground Pound: Spacebar + Spacebar while in the air
Blow: Hold Left Mouse Button
Suck: Hold Right Mouse Button
Pause Game: Escape Key
This is a great little game that is perfect for fans of time management games. I encourage everyone to give this a try and even recommend it to your children or grandchildren.
