I’ve found a great 3D tanks game called Battle Tanks II, as well as couple of decent puzzle games; a mastermind clone and a remake of Lemmings (called Lemmins – how original, lol). There’s also a reasonable paintball game, that’s better than other free painball games that I’ve come across, though not as good as Extreme Paintbrawl 4 which I bought some years ago.
Battle Tanks II: (16.3Mb)
Sometimes you run across a game that just makes you say "Wow". Battle Tanks II is one of these. The effects, graphics, sound scheme, fluidity of game play, and design of this game is simply astounding.
On the main menu, you choose whether to play a quick game (no setup options) or a normal game where you can choose the landscape, difficulty, aiming method, game stlye, etc. You can also head over to the extensive Options menu to adjust the effects level, sound/music volume, and more.
In the game itself you find stunning physics and effects at incredible speeds. About 90% of the games submitted for the Easter contest ran somewhat slow on my computer at least once but this game is non-stop smooth. Flack, explosions, splashes, rubble, craters, and 20+ enemies all run like there was nothing to it.
Not only are the effects and speed of this game of the same caliber as the legendary Star Wraith series but also the controls. Besides being able to choose which force to be and which of three types of tanks you will operate you can also give 10 different commands to your forces which will automatically carry out your order as you attempt to wipe out the enemy forces.
If you like this game you’ll probably like a game wizard posted back in week 22 called S.U.A.V.E.

Paintball Rogue: (4.4Mb)
A great non-violent 3D FPS/Paint Ball game
You were fired from your job because you xeroxed your ass and sent it around as your Boss'. Now you have a huge bill to pay off and you can't find a job. Well, except for a Paintball tournament, where the grand prize is over $5,000 in cash, more than enough to pay everything off. Unfortunately, you can't find any teammates, so you'll have to do it on your own.

MasterX: (2.76Mb)
A mastermind clone. I spent hours playing the original game when it first came out. The whole family used to compete against each other when we had a games session (which used to be a Friday and Saturday evenings – ah the memories, lol)
The main goal of the game is guess the combination of the chips. There are two phases of the game process. First is then you make the proposal of the thinking combination by getting and putting the chips on the board in the current row. The current row is bounded by the frame. There are nine rows and you have nine attempts to guess the combination. The second phase is analysis the result. The result are displayed at the right-hand of the row as sequence of the white and black chips. The white chip means that you guess only color but not the position of the one chip. The black chip means that you guess color and position. The white and black chips are displayed in the random order. After analysis the result you repeat phases one and two in the next row until you win or lose.

Lemmins: (4.77Mb)
By Lemmins each level comprises both destructable landscape elements such as rocks, instructable sections such as steel plates, and include numerous obstacles including chasms, high walls, large drops, pools of water or lava, and traps that trigger when a lemming is close. Each level also includes one or more entrance points and one or more exits. The goal is to guide a certain percentage of the green-hair, blue-shirted lemmins from the entrance to the exit by clearing or creating a safe passage through the landscape for the lemmins to use. Unless assigned a special task, each lemmin will walk in one direction ignoring any other lemmin in its way (save for Blockers), falling off any edges and turning around if they hit an obstacle they cannot pass. They die if they fall from a great height, fall into water or lava or off the map, or get caught in a trap; they also die after being assigned the bomber skill.
There are eight skills that can be assigned. Two skills stay with the lemmin regardless of how they are reassigned:
* "Climbers" will climb any vertical surface they hit.
* "Floaters" can safely fall off from heights without injury.
* "Bashers", "Miners", and "Diggers" cause the assigned lemmin to dig across, diagonally downward, or directly downward, respectively, through destructible material until they emerge into open air, hit indestructible material, or are reassigned.
* "Builders" create a rising stairway.
* "Blockers" will reverse the direction of all lemmins that hit them, and cannot be reassigned unless first the ground under their feet is removed.
* "Bombers" will continue whatever they were doing prior to assignment, but after 5 seconds (indicated by a countdown timer above their head) they will stop and explode.
The lemmins are released at a rate predetermined by the level (from 1 to 99), but the player can increase this to a faster rate once they've cleared a path for safe passage to an exit. The player also has the option to "nuke" all the remaining lemmins on the screen, converting them all to Bombers, either to quickly forfeit in order to retry a level or to remove any Blockers that remain after the rest have been rescued.
