   The Game:

   In Warzone 2100, you command the forces of "The Project" in a battle to rebuild the world after mankind has almost been destroyed by nuclear missiles. The game offers campaign, multi-player and single-player skirmish modes. An extensive tech tree with over 400 different technologies, combined with the unit design system, allows for a wide variety of possible units and tactics.

   Warzone 2100 was created by Pumpkin Studios, published by Eidos Interactive and is currently developed by the Warzone 2100 Project

   The game has a reasonable tutorial, though if you're familiar with the controls of most rts games you won't need to bother with it. The game comes with a full installer that installs to the Program files and installs shortcuts in the Start menu and the desktop.

   Warzone 2100 was an innovative 3D real-time strategy game back in 1999 (developed by Pumpkin Studios and published by Eidos-Interactive), and most
   will agree it didn't enjoy the commercial success it should have had. The game's
   source code was liberated on December 6th, 2004, under a GPL license.

   warzone looks fantastic! I've not tried it yet, but I will do so sometime soon. Unfortunately I have to work all weekend as well so I'm working 7 days in a row with monday off and then the next 4 days I work as well. AND on monday I'm spending the whole day on the road because I have to pick my fiance up from the airport. Just a lovely two weeks! lol anyway great job here with these, can't wait to try them!

   I'm 66 years of age and Retired, but I still enjoy playing games on the computer. I just want to say 'Thank You' for all the time and effort you must put into all your postings. I'm a real fan of the GAOTD site, and the associated Games Give Away, and I often see your name cropping up. You go to enormous lengths to fully describe the games - the amount of detail you provide is amazing. In particular, I really appreciate that when you refer to various other games, or videos that are available for the programme you are describing, you always provide hot links - it really saves me hours of otherwise struggling to find what you are talking about. I also like the way you give a very balanced view of the game and you explain what you like, or don't like, about the game. I can only affords to buy a full commercial game once in a long while. Your site gives me more than enough alternative games to keep me busy and by following your reviews I can easily find games that appeal to me.
   So, many thanks once again, for all your hard work and the excellent quality of your reviews.
