Here’s Tuesday’s games a little early. I’m going to be busy tomorrow, so may not have the time to post till very late, so thought I’d post them now.. The first one is an excellent 2D scrolling shooter based on the Halo series. Turn up the volume for some pretty loud sound effects (lol). They made me jump when I first booted up this game as I’d had the volume turned up high from a previous game that was particularly quiet. Then there’s two Japanese games a Dragonball game and another fighting game called Mind Arms. All three games have videos so you can check out whether you think you’re going to enjoy playing them. :)
Halo Zero (20.7Mb)
Halo Zero is a 2D fan game, based on a story before Halo 1, with the Reach battle. The main object in single player mode is to shoot, shoot and get to the end of the level. But, the later of the 10 levels are a bit more complex than this. The game can also be played in multiplayer mode where you can host or join a game. Before you even start the game you can choose the english or french language, redefine your controls or even set your level of dificulty. At the beginning of each level you have a helper, a marine who is ready to help fight off the enemies. In between levels there are interesting animated cut scenes that follow the story. During game play, you will findup to nine different weapons, including a sniper rifle, rocket launcher, plasma gun and grenade. Halo Zero has great sound and graphics, even down to the lense flare and glare caused by looking towards the sun.
Controls:
Mouse = aim
Left/right arrow = walk

If you’re a Halo fan, this is a must have. If not, then download it anyway because it is a fun shooter.

Dragon ball Arcade (20.6Mb)
I posted several Dragonball Mugen games several months ago. This one is relativelt simple in comparison, but is also a lot smaller in file size, so if you had problems downloading those games because of bandwith problems you’ll find this one may be a viable option
Dragon Ball Arcade - Young Songo during his journey at the magic cloud comes across the army of Pilaf's robots. Poor young hero has to soldier on against the evil forces, while Piccolo and others are sunbathing on holiday somewhere far far away. Grab plenty of possible bonuses, improve weaponry to gain as many points as possible.

Mind Arms (45.2Mb)
A beautiful Japanese fighting game for 1 or 2 players.
Thankfully most of the menu items are in English. There are 3 different worlds and 5 different characters to choose from called Chain, Kanna, Chako, Takaya and Eigen. You will also find five difficulty settings. Some of the menus are in Japanese, but there’s enough English to be able to navigate through the menu levels.
The Z key replaces the usual enter key for selecting items etc.
Story Mode:
A game in sequential levels.
The next menu is in Japanese and I suppose you can choose one of the 4 worlds.
Then another menu appears and I suppose you can choose one of the 5 different characters to play with.
Free Battle
Versus:
- 1 player against a computer opponent
- 2 player game
- 2 players, both computer players (watch the game)
Training:
First choose one of the 5 players as player 1 (use arrow keys + Z)
Then choose an opponent
Then select one of the 3 worlds, or a random one.
Replay:
Controls:
Player 1:
Arrow keys = move and jump
Double click the left/right arrows to jump/roll forwards/backwards
Z, X, C (and sometimes V) = attack
Player 2:
I, J, K, L = move and jump
Double click the J / L keys to jump/roll forwards/backwards
A, S, D (and sometimes F) = attack
Common:
Space bar = pause
Esc = exit game (back to menu)
Enter = take a screenshot
new version 0.73 5-2009
There's a new character name Colne (Korune) who appears to be a clone of Chako, but really she's her own character who not only has her own move set, but also can send out "shadows" of the other characters to attack for her. She can also float. I don't think she's finished though.
I'm not sure if Sarah (Sera) was in the last version, but she's complete. She's half wolf, and loses about a pixel or so of health with every power-attack. (Down+Forward Attack for example).

The site is in Japanese, but it’s easy enough to find the download link, which is in the right hand colum just below where it says (in English) Mind Arms. Click on the link that says Ver 0.74 43.6Mb.

Additional Info
Apparently the game doesn’t run on all computers; it depends upon your configuration and the hardware you may have. Also for vista users you may get an error message popping up that says d3drm.dll missing" Thankfully the dll is available from laods of sites. I’ve used the following several times. You’ll need to place the dll into either of the following:
C:/windows/system32
or
C:/windows/sysWOW64/
