Here’s Monday 3rd august 2009’s games. A little late as usual. I seem to have slowed down somewhat over the last few months. Previously I always tried to post the days game at midnight the previous day. You can blame wizzard fro coming up with the giveaway steam community group, lol.
The three games you’ll find below are okay games for free. I particularly like the first one Q-Lat2 and Crossfire Reloaded. Well all three actually, lol. I needed a break from my explorations in the Fallout and Fuel worlds, both of hich are fascinating games. If you haven’t got either of those yet, when you have a spare $30 or $40 I’d go for at least one of those two games. If you like RPG then go for Fallout 3. It’s well supported by the modding community. If you like racing games/rally, then fuel has to be it. :) anyway, I hope you enjoy my selection for today:

WHAT IS IT?
Q-Lat2 is an arcade type game mixing features from pentaque,
billiards, and flippers.
The game objective in Q-Lat2 is to make all the balls explode, by turning them all to the same color.
Q-Lat2 requires good aiming, fast reflexes, quick thinking,
and a lot of plain good luck :)
No blood and guns this time, just hectic hi-score hunting alone or with a friend.

A great strategy/arcade game + editor
In the Turretshop you can buy some turrets, airstrikes, mines etc as you like. Then you can place all the stuff you bought on the map. Your task is always to protect your headquarter. Click on "Start" and the game begins! Lots of enemies coming from everywhere to destroy your headquarters! Use your turrets and other stuff to kill them all...
There 4 game modes:
1. Start Campagne: you got a world map and have to complete each mission.
2. Survival: You have to try to survive as long as possible. An endless storm of enemies will attack you. (The time is your score)
3. CashChallenge: Complete a single mission by using as less money as possible.
4. Selfmade map: You can play on an own-written map

E = to use "Rocket Airstrike" (on the whole screen)
R = to use the shield (protects your headquarters and restores a little health)0

Gridhunt+ is a sequel to gridhunt, but with improved graphics and sounds.It is a Galatic Battleship Combat game for 1 or 2 players with strategic elements and support for multiplayer combat. I don't know about you, but I used to love playing battleships when I was a kid. Initially we used to use paper then one Christmas I got one for Christmas. It was probably one of my favorite games when I was a young teenager.
Description:
Gridhunt+ is a turn-based, retro-styled strategy game based on the game classic Battleships, but set in space rather than at sea. Players take turns placing shots on a starmap and try to destroy each others fleets, which comprises of four ships on each side. Gridhunt+ has a number of unique features, such as randomly placed 'nukes' that blows up large areas of space, and the total number of shots decreasing based on how many ships are left in your fleet. Features single- and multiplayer modes, network/internet support.
