Sorry for the delay in posting today’s free game. I had a bit of a disaster very early this morning. My best graphics card finally died on me. I’d suspected that it was on its way out previously because I was getting interference on a regular basis; visuals suddenly losing some of their colour, or blocky patterns appearing. That card (an NVidia 8800 GTX 640Mb) cost me over £200 ($300) two years ago , now they don’t even stock it as it’s been superseded by several much better cards. Anyway, I’ve spent the better part of the day (and all my computer slush funds) rectifying the problem. I managed to find a decent replacement, but the journey wiped me out, so have been sleeping all afternoon. Hopefully with the new card (NVidia GTX275 896Mb) I’ll be able to up the graphics on GTA IV and Fallout 3; I wasn’t able to take full advantage of the in built graphics enhancements of either game, so am really looking forwards to checking out how much I can push the card. I even bought a column fan to try and keep my computers cooler as I think overheating may have been the problem. I haven’t been as switched on recently with respect to cleaning out all the dust that accumulates inside the computers. I used to spray the insides using canned air on a monthly basis to keep the motherboard and graphics card cpu’s and Northbridge’s unobstructed. It’s amazing how quick dust builds up on the heat sink cooling fins and fans.
Okay, sorry to digress, I’m sure the majority of you are not interested in my woes, lol.
I’m posting two games today well four if you count the early versions of the first game). The first is the latest version of Jet Rampage, and the second is actually a small compilation of space related games called Galaxy Arcade 2.

Jetz Rampage 4 Gold:Revenge v1.2 (15.47Mb)
Jetz Rampage comes with a full installer package and installs shortcuts into your start menu programs list by default and onto the desktop provided you tick the box during installation. The following are the controls I discovered while checking the game out:
Cursor Keys……………………..Movement
Alt……………………..………..Change Direction (L or R)
Ctrl…………………………..….Fire Weapon
Shift……………………….……Weapons Select
C………………………………..Opens console for adding cheats
Enter…………………………….Save game
Esc (while in game)…………….Menu
Esc (while in menu)…………….Exit Game
There some options mentioned at the bottom of the main menu page. Change game priority (p), change colour depth (c), Reset game (Ctrl R)
From the main menu you can access the two available cities, silver and lightning city, though the second one is locked at the beginning of the game. You have to kill the forces sent against you then the end of level boss. You earn cash during the game which can be used in the upgrade shop, (which is accessible from the main menu), to buy new weapons such as bazooka’s, flamer throwers lasers, chainsaws plus more. There’s a multiplayer option, but this can only be played once you’ve completed the available missions.
The game isn’t really suitable your younger kids IMO. It’s basically a game where you kill everything in sight and may be a little too graphic for some (though it’s all done in a cartoon fashion). The earlier games, which I’ve posted later have three extra citoes to wreak havoc in. Jetz Rampage 2 has nearly as good graphics as 4, the original is failrly basic, but is still reasonably decent. The play keys are the samen all three games. The following is what the author had to say:
”This is the ultimate rampage game. Fly around huge detailed cities causing mass destruction. You can earn money and buy more weapons or other upgrades. There are 24 missions in each city for you to complete in each city and 2 bosses per city. With 18 weapons to unlock you will always have something to do. It even comes with a custom music list function so you can rock out to your favorite songs while causing destruction. If you beat the game there is even a multiplayer mode where you can duke it out with a friend in a death match arena. In multiplayer you can use up to 8 weapons scattered throughout the level, which includes a remote controlled rocket launcher, flamethrower, chainsaw, and much more. This game is definitely a challenge if you are not familiar with the series. The missions in this game vary a lot. A few of them even bring back some classic arcade games in ⌠Jetz style. There are 2 jammed packed cities
Features:
• 2 Huge Cities to cause mass destruction!
• Tons of missions to play!
• Unlock weapons and even make your own!
• Beat the game to unlock 2 player mode!
The following You Tube videos show the cheat you can employ so don’t watch them if you don’t want any spoilers:

Galaxy Arcade 2:
You’ll find several classic games in this package (8) , which includes a decent breakout game, pacman, asteroids, skydiving, and a Tron game. Four of the games include a 2 player option. Game controls vary for each game. You can find out which controls are required by passing your mouse pointer over the game you want to play. If you don’t leave the game via the exit button you may find your graphics settings changed to 800 x 600 16 bit. The game doesn’t include an installer, so you’ll have to direct installation to wherever you like to keep your games, then open up the installed folder to create a shortcut from the executable. The following is what the author had to say:
”This is a combination of classic and original games made by me. It includes Last Flight, Diver, Snow Boarder, Light Fights, Asteroids and Pacman. These have a lot better graphics than the previous Galaxy Arcade. It also has the usual juke box where you can choose your background music while playing. Half of the games are 2 player for more replay value. Two player Sky Diver is a blast”

As an afterthought I decided to include the earlier incarnations of Jetz Rampage, though I couldn’t find number 3. Graphically, they aren’t as good, but for game play, they aren’t much different. The games were actually based on one of the games found in the Galaxy Arcade 2 package. Neither game comes with an installer, so you'll have to manually place each folder when you've unpacked them.
Jet Rampage: (3.25Mb)
Let me tell you this first. If your gonna download this before you've downloaded Jetz Rampage 2 your crazy because thats way better. But this game is still good. It seemed alot better before I made JR2. This is a sequal for Last Flight in Galaxy Arcade 2
