Here’s my final selection for this week. A couple of schmups a bridge building puzzle game and a popular fighting game. I hope some of you can make t for this weekends Left 4 Dead coop game this weekend. I’ve made an announcement on the Giveawayoftheday Steam Community page, but I’ll be bringing it forwards to Saturday as Sunday is too clo to a work day for some. I’ll confirm a new time soon.
TWilight INSanity: (58Mb)
Twilight INSanity was developed by Japanese development house called Eikyuu Loop less than three years agoThe download page is in Japanese, but it’s easy enough to find the download link, which is in English and near the top of the page around central (four lines down below the title {Twilight Insanity} on an orange background) .
TWilight INSanity is a pretty decent doujin shooter by Eikyuu Loop, also responsible for the development of Iincho and Clover Wing. You can swap characters by pressing the X key, though the second team is perhaps the strongest out of the three.
Press the control key to skip cutscenes, and use the space or C key to vary your movement speed. Tap the Z key to initiate the special tension attack.

Minishoter RS (8.0Mb)
MinishoterRS Delta is an amazing Japanese shmup that does everything right: lots of levels (including hidden ones), multiple selectable ships (including unlockable ones), great retro music and sound effects, optional boss battle mode for practice and plenty of other hidden extras. The game is played in very low resolution, though this can be magnified with the Q, W and E keys. Though Japanese in origin, most of the in-game text is in English and is thus quite playable without any knowledge of the Japanese language. You’ll find the downlad link directly above the synopsis.

I used to have a simple bridge building game years ago and remember having hours of fun designing various bridges. I bought World of Goo because it had an element of bridge building included. I also think I’ve already posted at least one bridge building game previously, but if I haven’t, it’ll still be in the ’to be posted’ folder. This is quite similar in that you have to build a bridge within a specific time and then test it, though it’s actually much better looking than the one’s I’m familiar with. The following description is copied from the download page:
Build a bridge and test your construction skills. Help your workers to collect items located on the other side of valley. Become a number one of the leader board.
Build a bridge using your mouse and available budget. When it is done click "Test your bridge". Your workers will use it to get items located at the other side of valley, and bring them back to the shop. Your goal is to collect all items in level.For each level you have limited budget. All money that you won't use, become your score, so cheaper bridge equals1 higher score. Money collected in all levels of game will be your total score and will be sent to leader board. You will use those money in challenge mode too.

I seem to remember someone posting a method of downloading these games, but can’t remember where it is. I though I’d already posted this game ages ago, but I can’t find it in G@rgoyles free games synopsis. He’s rely good at picking them up, so it’s possible that I was intending to post it at some point, but forgot, lol. The name is certainly familiar.
Little Fighter 2 (LF2) is a popular freeware fighting game for Windows. LF2 was created by Marti Wong and Starsky Wong in 1999. Its popularity has been substantial thanks to its simple yet addictive game play, its great replay ability and free at the point of use availability. The game can have up to 4 human players on one computer and 8 characters in network play at one time. Game modes include VS mode, Stage mode (where 1 or more players move through the environment killing increasing numbers and difficulties of enemies), Championship mode and Battle mode (involving mass armies led by a player).
Version 2.0 adds a Survival Stage, Game play Recording feature, and background music.
