I just found this website, and it is immediately bookmarked, and downloaded.
Its called LiberKey (its a free program), and it is basically the "Swiss Army Knife" of free programs, all organized by type. It comes in 3 sizes, Basic (28), Standard (100), and Ultimate(200).

They also have a master list of many different programs, including more that isn't in the ultimate list here:

Nice find, thanks for sharing.
There are all my good old freeware friends in one list and if you are not afraid of French, then you can even find some games in the forums.
e.g. :

or this and some others from the author:

Thanks for posting the above links notblocklox, I used indiegames as a source for the free games project until I lost ally bookmarks to a hard drive failure. I didn't have a back up so the site was lost to me. :) Great.
I'll add the others and use them in the project sometime soon as this thread is likely to get buried eventually. Plus they woyld be better posted in the games discussion thread. :)

WR, have a look at konjak.org, this guy has some nice games and downloads. I think I have posted that link before but couldn't find the thread now.

Yes, I think you may have as I recognised the site. I'll post some of those games in the free games project (making sure I credit you with the find).
Some of the games from both sites are well worth including in the project. :)

That's a good one to post, thename. Most of the people who've already posted I'm sure know, but the big selling point of Liberkey is that all the apps are portable. So you can put them on your machine, but you can also run them off a usb stick, for example, since they're designed to be compact. However, like some others, such as the PortableApps suite, you need to install the Liberkey software as a launcher for the suite. I'm not sure whether you can run any of the apps in either one without the launcher. Don't think you can. But, I believe the launchers are pretty compact in themselves. The launcher means they're not 100% standalone, but if you're looking for one stop portable shopping....
