Maybe it does not require a serial as it's already coded into the software.
Thanks Lee,
but I can't continue the installation without. -> I only can choose back or cancel but not next, without writing a Serial number and Product key.

Hit registration button and I guess you will be taken to a website that asks for
your email address and name then sends you your keys.
I just downloaded it and tried it and thats what it suggests I believe.
Correct, as explained in the Readme.txt:
To register the software click "Registration" button during the installation process. You will have to fill in the form. The product key and serial number will be sent to you by e-mail.
When I click the Registration button, it tries to access
http://www.paragon-software.com/registration/dc9se.html
and then cannot find it. I've tried it several times. I download the program, run the setup, it gets to a screen with the Registration button on it, and then it cannot get to the registration. I do have reliable internet access. I am using Internet Explorer Version 7. Windows XP. Nothing unusual about my computer.
Time is almost up for installing, and I can't stay up much longer. Is there a way I can activate this tomorrow when you fix the problem?

"oops, that link is broken..."
"Timed out"
I've been trying to get to the registration page for two hours. There are several other threads with the same complaint. It would be nice if GOTD was aware/acknowledged the issue. I can't stay up for the next three hours while Paragon, usually a great product, figures out how to handle their traffic, or whatever the problem may be. Good Luck.
I have registered other software they provided here. I cannot get to the page to input my e-mail addy & name. The link times out.
I'm getting the same message as others. The site link is either broken or they do not have the capacity to handle all the requests. I'm hoping they will extend the offer.
I just checked and the site came up in about 2 seconds for me. (But I got my code about 20 hours ago). I'm connecting from Australia - via two soup cans and a long piece of string.
YEAH it's finally up, I've been checking for hours!
The site is back up now, but the confirmation e-mail does not come in for hotmail users until you add their e-mail address in your contacts list and mark their e-mail address as safe. The mail does NOT appear in the junk folder.
I can't figure out where to enter the registration info. They sent me the product key and serial number, but no instructions, otherwise.

I am also unable to install the product due to the invalid registration link. The Paragon Software Community forum has numerous messages to the same effect. I posted a problem description along with the others. Paragon has not responded to anyone's postings about the problem.
Well, I got mine figured out, at last, and well before the deadline! :)

I tried last night to register the program with Paragon and had the same problem as others on this forum.
I'm in the same boat as the others. I tried continuously from 9PM EDT to 11PM EDT with no luck at all. I gave up after that.
This experience does not inspire confidence in Paragon. If they can't manage to service the people trying to get keys, what happens if and when their products suffer some kind of failure. This makes me very leery about using or even trying their products. I'm just not going to wait forever to get help or a new key or whatever is needed.
Paragon - What kind of a company are you? This is the kind of bone headed move that Microsoft made with it's Win 7 Beta and look at the backlash they got. Do you think you're so big that you don't need to take care of your GOTD customers?
I sincerely hope you make this right and forthwith. I don't suppose any of us will ever hear from Paragon and Paragon can be sure they won't hear from me!
I have a different problem. It installed and registered just fine for me.
Problem is, I realized, after I installed this, that I already had it installed.
The question is, if I uninstall one of them, will the uninstall program remove any shared .dlls, registry entries, etc., that are needed by the remaining copy of the program, rendering it unusable?
Thanks
Dave
The thing is, Comobu, you're problem is so unique I'm not sure anybody's going to be able to give you an answer for certain.
comobu.. I had a previous version installed (special edition), and it detected and uninstalled that for me before going through the new install procedure. Also, it was "drive copy", not disk copy.
Thanks for the replies.
I think that the reason It didn't do this for me is that the new one has 'special edition' in the name and the old one does not.
Well, it's not a big deal. I'll finish the job I got it for and then try uninstalling. If it works, okay, if not, I'll uninstall both and wait until it comes up again.
Thanks again
Dave
