I heard that Wrabbit was going on vacation. I thought someone might take over, but as I see no game today, I thought I'd try to put together a few. I haven't been here in a while, but since the semester is over, I've got a little more free time. So, here are a few games made with RPG Maker. I don't think any of these have been posted, but I apologize if they have. If you like RPGs these are all good ones, and there are literally dozens, maybe hundreds of free RPG Maker games out there. Most of them play very similarly to older Final Fantasy games, and most are pretty similar to each other.
Love and War
I really really love this game, because of its storyline(I'm one who prefers storyline over most everything else in a game). What the author's website says:
Love and War is a tale taking place on the world of Terra. Ever since the birth of the first nation-state on this world, Terra has been wracked by the scourge of war. Five nations managed to survive throughout the ages, yet it seemed as though with each passing day, humanity slipped closer and closer to self-annihilation.
One man made a difference, however. The youthful Emperor of the Zion Empire, Geraud Valtemond, was this man. A brilliant, honorable, and benevolent monarch, he managed to open the eyes of the leaders of the other nations, showing them what lay ahead if Terra persisted down this road. Through diplomacy and sheer force of will, Lord Geraud created the Commonwealth; an international governing body, comprised of democratically elected representatives and Peacekeeping Forces, which would forever make war a thing of the past.
Three centuries have elapsed, and people have forgotten the lessons of the past. Tensions are rising between nations once again, and it seems as if the Commonwealth is powerless to do anything but watch as its order crumbles. Can one man make a difference, once again?
Welcome to Love and War.

there are two downloads there, the first is for those new to RPG Maker games, as it has some files you need to run it. If you have run RPG Maker games on your computer, you can probably use the other download. And if you have no idea what it's talking about, you probably need the first one.
Last Scenario
Another of the same genre that I really enjoyed. As I said, most of these games are quite similar(other than the storyline, which can also be similar sometimes as well). This one though adds a kind of spellcard system that adds a little extra IMO and makes the game unique. I found this sometime last year, but I can't remember if the author had a website or not, but I had to search for a bit to find it again. Here's what Indy Gamer says:
Last Scenario is a game made using the popular RPGMaker XP. Tiles, music and sound effects are standard material that is included with the package, but most of the character portraits, sprites and backgrounds seen in this release were created by the developer.
The C key is used for most interactions and menu selections. Press the X key to access the inventory screen or to cancel any choices. A medium length RPG with over a thousand rooms, side quests, a unique spellcard system and even a collectible board game, it's quite unlikely that any fan would complete this production in a couple of sittings.

Indy Gamer's download link was also dead, so I had to look for this as well. To download, click the 'download' link, which will send you to another page that redirects you to a portuguese website, so click on the button that says 'biaxar.' Indy Gamer does however have a good walk through here:

Solar Wars
This last game is not an RPG Maker game, but I thought it looked interesting and it doesn't look like it has been posted. I haven't played it yet, but as I said, it looked interesting, so I thought I'd post it. Here's what the developer's site says about it:
Solar Wars is a turn-based space strategy game, based in a distant solar system, with up to thirty orbiting planets. Starting with your home world, build up your ships and strategy. Scout out nearby worlds, send fleets of ships to attack or send annihilation bombs. Destroy opponents by setting hidden proximity bombs or pulse bombs.
Play in single player mode, with computer opponents, or multiplayer mode, over the Internet. See how fast you can eliminate your opponents and dominate the entire solar system!

Looking around the site, it looks like it could be a fairly complicated and difficult game. Let me know if anyone likes this game, as I think I'll try it out when I get the chance.
Well, that'll be it for me, as it is actually pretty time consuming doing these reviews(especially when your average snail types at the same speed I do). I hope some people get some enjoyment out of these games since Whiterabbit isn't here.
