Does anyone still have the Terminal Studios version of Brickshooter Egypt installed, and does it work? I can't get it to open; if I click the .exe file, either the eggtimer(?) cursor shows for a second, or else nothing happens. Maybe it lost the registration, but I'd think it would come up with some kind of screen, and Atlantis Quest and the BubbleShooter game still work fine. Someone who also has it installed says her ZoneAlarm stops it because it says it's trying to access system resources it's not supposed to (can't remember the exact error). I have Norton; it doesn't tell me anything, but something seems to be stopping it. I can't remember the last time it worked - haven't played it in several months.

Hi, Scarlet, mine is working fine (it's nearly unused - LOL - didn't play it any more after the first day.)
I think it is a free-standing game, as I had installed it on an USB drive and now I'm playing it on a new system/other registry. So I don't think it is something with the GOTD-activation.
Try to white-list it in your "security department" - Nero and whatever else is running.
Good Luck!

Mine's fine. Haven't opened it in months, since actually suffering a detached retina after a long, marathon session a while back. Whether one has anything to do with the other, I doubt it.

Try updating your graphics drivers and clearing out your windows cache.

Oh, dear, my sympathies to you, Mr. Fishy; I would think it could have something to do with it - well, not causing it; just not helping matters. I hope your eye is better now. Notblocklox, I'm not sure where to whitelist it in Norton. It shouldn't need to access the Internet; I marked it to be excluded from scans, but that didn't help; not sure what else to do there. Whiterabbit, by Windows cache, do you mean Temporary Internet files - or Temp? I empty both of those every night, and I'm puzzled why I'd need to update the graphics drivers when it worked fine when it was first given. (I'm not sure how to update them either; I think you've given instructions a time or two, but...) I thank you all for trying to help.

Hi, Scarlet, on GameTop is a game called Egyptoball as free download.
That seems to be the same one. Just have in mind, that GT opens their website and may install a toolbar if you don't uncheck this.Posted 15 years ago # -
Thank you notblocklox. But that game is Egyptoid - I like that one, too, but happily mine still works. They do have an online version of Brickshooter Egypt (called Egypt Puzzle), but not a download. It's okay; I have plenty of games to play, (thanks especially to this site :)) - and my computer is such a disorganized mess, and so full, I shouldn't be downloading more anyway (says I as I eye Pharoah Puzzle and Golden Path!). I guess I'll just leave Brickshooter alone awhile; maybe eventually I'll figure out the problem, or it will, and just start working again, for I did like it a lot. I'll go back to trying to clear some more room. Thank you for your reply.

JBrickShooter is a nice freeware version of this game. Although it isn't much graphics wise, its game play is still the same. Also check out its arcade mode with powerups.
For Ubuntu: < a href "http://www.getdeb.net/app/JBrickShooter">(If you don't know what Ubuntu is then you don't want this)
For any Java compatible OS: http://code.google.com/p/jbrickshooter/Posted 15 years ago # -
Thanks, luke100. Very nice; quite challenging, and nice and small, too. I like the arcade mode best.
