Nobody says that it has to be dead boring or bone-dry. We had such a lot of fun with our discussions that some threads were a long way off topic after some time.
To bundle our chit-chat we (mostly maizeydaze) opened some fun threads. However even they were somehow computer- or internet related, as special sites were found and shared: amazing sites, funny sites, sites for fractals or music... and so on.
Our photos were mostly used as an example in a tutorial, e.g. Goody's panorama adventures. Or to brag with our macro photos of flowers and bumblebees as a part of a game.
Meanwhile some threads are only used to show pets and flowers without any relation to computer, software, camera-techniques...mostly only one user is speaking with himself.
I think other forums on other sites are the better place for such contributions.
It came even worth, the open chit-chat was used to speak bad about other users, behind the back of most of us, members and good friends of us are threatened and defamed.
These forums were and shall stay a friendly place for friends.
I deleted some threads today and hope that you will feel happy here and that you'll send a PM to the admins or mods if you feel threatened or have a problem with one of the other users. Nobody shall leave the forums because of one rotten egg (in 2 weeks is Easter - don't forget). Some friends left us, I'll mail them and hope they will come back soon.
Whao, this Moderator has done her homework now, the rest of this short night (daylight savings in Europe) I'm going to play The Serpent of Isis.
