Today's game is a great little RTS from a Slovakian developer called Distortum. The game features 3 unique groups (army, pirates, aliens;) 24 units; 15 buildings; and 6 missions. The game is wonderfully beautiful. I would not have guessed that this was a freeware game. Graphics and sound effects are both professionally done, albeit I would have expected this to be a commercial game from several years ago.
The game is lacking a tutorial which I feel would greatly add to the fun of this game. Be aware that you will probably die several times before you get the hang of this game. It's a great challenge for any RTS fan. The devs made a manual available on their website but this basically just explains the controls and no back story. I would recommend giving it a look at as there is no options menu in the game to allow custom mapping. The download is somewhat small for a game of this ilk at 63.9mb. The manual opens in the browser so there is no need to worry about a download for that file. The download links can be found directly under the screenshots. Overall, I give this game a 9/10 for an indie dev...7/10 for a commercial dev.
