I'm posting more games from the 72-hour game development competition. These games are from two different competitions. The first two are from the "Food" competition and the last two are from the "Customize" competition. I really recommend Roidian: Final Hour if you like spaceship shooter games.

Robocafe
Quote:
In the not-so-distant future, cafes will be entirely automated by robots. The cafes will be aptly named "RoboCafes" and all of our food will be served to us via a mechanical crane that selects our orders and places them on conveyor belts. At the busiest times of the day, these mechanical cranes are expected to work their best at producing quality orders correct every time!
Welcome to our RoboCafe. You will have to play the part of the computer operating the crane in this game as you rush to grab the orders requested and drop them off in the conveyor belt! Be careful not to drop the orders or place the wrong ones on the belt though: it comes out of your paycheck!

Zooble
Zooble is just a small prototype game that you can think of as a 2d Super Mario Sunshine. But it's too short and only has one very small room that you can complete in just a few minutes.

Zooble was a little game developed for the 72HourGDC (72 hour compo) in January 2004, in which the theme was "food". The game is a prototype physics based platformer where you use a water hose for pushing things around, and thrust. Your character is some sort of radish thing.

Roidian: Final Hour
This is an excellent spaceship shooter. Very true to the customize theme, you can unlock new weapons and ships by completing missions to "customize" the gameplay.
Quote:
In a world where drones reign the skies, the air force is sparsely populated by pilots. The few pilots who do enlist in the force, however, pilot magnificent ships known as Roidian Class fighters. You begin the game as one of these new pilots, when suddenly on a routine scouting mission you are attacked by drones!
As the last remaining pilot in the air force, it is your task to single-handedly take down the haywire drones and find the cause of the malfunction: whether through land, city, or space!

Cold Comfort
Cold Comfort is an interesting game except it has an extremely high learning curve. It tries to be a combination of Pac-Man, Asteroids and Billiards. This results in some unique gameplay but the difficulty is also very high.
Quote:
Tom Khas loves ice cream so much that he takes on the job of frozen dessert customizer at the famous Cold Comfort Ice Cream Parlor.
Sadly the job turns out to be far from how he envisioned it. With ice cream servings so massive they must be prepared in a sub zero environment, and hygiene so bad it wouldn't pass any scrutiny, Tom ends up by himself in a gigantic freezer, preparing the treats outside the customers' view.
Work would be much easier if Tom was left alone to do his thing. Unfortunately, he has to contend with ice cream ant spiders, lazy and erratic freezer gnomes and an extremely demanding work pace. With no kind of job security, any mistake could be enough to get him fired.
