Thank's Webmaster. Another one to place in my pending folder for when I'm in the mood for a Simulation - though I have a sneaky feeling I still have the original somewhere. :) The kids loved it until I started buying the rollercoaster tycoon series. If it is the same one I'm thinking of there's the ability to jump in and experience the rides as if your on them, which rollercoaster tycoon didn't add till it's third incarnation.
If it is the game I think it is, this is well worth downloading. If you have young kids its a must have. They will love it and personally I found it entertaining as well.

This downloaded fine, but when i try to open/run it, i get an error message that says Windows needs to know what program created it, and it doesn't recognize RAR files. What does that mean and what can i do about it?
Thank you for all the cool games!!!
VickyPosted 15 years ago # -
Victorianne it means that you need a program like Winrar [commercial] or 7zip [freeware] to open the file.
Rar files are basically zip files with knobs on.
They're very popular and you'll probably run into a lot of them on the internet. The link for 7zip if you want it is http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
I'd suggest researching a little before making up your mind thoughPosted 15 years ago # -
The thing about Winrar is that you can download it for free. It says it is only free for 30 days I think, but you can keep it as long as you want. After the 30 days, you just get a nag screen every time you open the program. I only use Winrar because I can't get Vista to recognize 7zip is my default for zips and rars.

WoO, just wanted to comment that I use 7-zip with Vista and it recognizes it as my default. After installing run 7zFM.exe (contained in the 7-Zip folder) which is the console. Choose Tools>Options... drop downs. Then select the file types you want to associate 7-Zip with and Apply. The choices include .zip, .rar, .arj, etc. Even without doing this you can just right click on a file and the right click menu will give you a 7-Zip option that allows you to open or extract using 7-Zip.

Nice piece of info Wizzard, Winrar was one of the fist programs I ever installed on a machine and I've loved it ever since.
I never left it for more than a week without registering I was afraid to ever do without it again lol.Victorianne, it was a pleasure :)

Hey Wizz and Victorianne, though I don't use Vista, I do use IZarc which is free and says it is fully Vista compatible. I use XP Pro and download a lot of different file types and IZarc has extracted from them all including ISO files. Their page says IZarc works with 25+ file types. I have even used it to split large files into smaller self-extracting files so that I can store them on Skydrive (file size max 50MG) or other places that only accept small files. Give it a shot, I'm sure you'll be pleased. BTW, it integrates with the right click menu only if you wish it to do so.
