Sorry for the delay folks, I fell asleep last night and forgot all about posting today's games. I couldn't get to the computer anyway though. My fiance bought me the new Tomb Raider game for pc for Christmas. The first chance she got, she popped it into the computer and played it all night. I'm glad she likes my present so much lol. Anyway...
Today's games are De Blob and The Great Stroke Off. First off let me start with the Great Stroke Off. This game should not be played by children. Please parents pass on this if you are downloading games for your children or grandchildren. It's not that the game contains nudity or profanity, but there are a lot of sexual innuendos.
The developer describes the game as follows:
"This game will be heavy on the "humor" side of things, with a variety of wacky characters, interesting scenes to explore, and an amusing, unique and interesting storyline.
"The setting of the story takes place in a type of small "Amusement Park" called "Stickz & Ballz". The main attraction of the park is the Mini-Golf Course (thus the Stickz & Ballz name), as well as a Haunted House of Mirrors and a Video Arcade, plus a large shop with snacks and souvenirs as well as more areas to explore.
"The main character in the game that the player will control, goes by the name of Ned Flobolid.
"Ned (who is around 16 years old) is working during his "summer-break" at the "Stickz & Ballz" amusement park, which is owned and operated by his Uncle Ernie. His parents gave him the choice to either work there for his Uncle during the summer, or to attend tutoring lessons at summer-school. So, Ned choose to work at the amusement park.
"The story takes place during the day of "The Great Stroke-Off Competition", in which teams are competing to win the trophy. During the opening scenes of the game, Uncle Ernie will tell Ned "Half of a Proverb", and make it as a riddle for Ned to solve. So, in the course of the game, Ned will also find the "answer to the riddle of the proverb" as well.
"Ned will have to do various tasks, solve various puzzles (some a bit bizarre), and interact with many other characters in the game as the story unfolds. At one point during the game, Ned can choose to help and befriend one of two opposing teams (One team being a group of "Nerds" and the other team a group of "Punks"). Deciding on which team Ned decides to help win the competition, will decide on what different puzzles Ned may have to solve as well as affecting the direction of the story."
Overall I found this to be an enjoyable game, and I chuckled a little at the crude jokes. The gameplay is rather easy in that the puzzles are easy to figure out. The added split ending was a great addition to make this game better than just average. I give the game an 8/10. The download is only 5.2mb, so I highly recommend just giving it a chance.

I've seen the commercials for De Blob on the Wii, and didn't think it was a game that I would like. Then I saw the game was freeware on the pc and looked at screens and still didn't think I'd like it. I decided to download it and give it a try and I played for hours. I left the house and wanted nothing but to come back home and play more and show my fiance what a fun game it is.
De Blob is a great game where you play as some kind of alien race that can absorb paint. You aparently invade a town colored entirely in black and white with the exception of it's inhabitants. The towns-people are actually made of paint: red, blue and yellow. If you combine different colors, you can change to the secondary colors green, orange, and brown. The object is to color the whole town, specifically certain landmarks with a bullseye on them. Once you have colored specific landmarks a certain color, you can't change their color. The rest of the world can be painted any color you want. Cars are inanimate until painted and billboards are blank until painted.
You much watch out though, because the evil INKT agents are waiting to stop you. If you roll over an INKT agent, you will paint black and can't acquire any other colors. The only way to get rid of the black ink is to take a swim in the water. This is also a good way to shrink in size. Some of the landmarks are only accessible if you are a certain size. With each paint person you absorb, you grow bigger. There are 50 tokens to find all around the city, and I've heard that if you find them all, you get a bonus of some kind. I couldn't find a few of the tokens so I can't comment on this.
The only drawback to this game is that it is essentially a demo in that it only has one level. However, I still spent plenty of time on this one and only level and still want to spend more. Also, there are no saves. You can't save your progress, but I actually like that. I like being given a clean slate to work my creativity on.
All movements are done with the mouse. This is a little tricky at first, but you get pretty used to it after awhile. Right click brings up the menu. If you left click while in the menu, it will quit your game. To get back to the game, simply right click again. The download is 97.6mb, so reasonable small for a big game world with so much fun. I give this game a 10/10. Please download now!
