I thought I’d be able to salvage what I was intending to post following my system failure yesterday, but it's looking increasingly less likely; but I was stupid enough not to make a back up in the external drive. All the games and the documents as well as the sites where I downloaded them from are all inaccessible now, so I thought I’d dip into some of the other games I intend posting in the coming months. Today’s is another Physics based game called Hammerfall. I’ve also included a link to the browser based game (I know it's in the wrong place, but I initially thought it was a downloadable game) Powder Game that demonstrates Fluid Dynamics in a Particle Sandbox. Both games are excellent time wasters.
Hopefully I'll have found the games I was intending to post soon. In the mean time I've got lots more I can post. :)
From this week onwards, we will be having a new member joining the team called reverseOrder; who will be concentrating on student based games and independant games festival and competition entry winners. These will usually be posted as add ons to either wizzards or my postings.

Hammerfall: (10.1Mb)
This is a physics based game out of Russia. It’s still under development, but I thought it worth posting here today. You can check out a video and read about the game as well as download it, all from the link below:

The Powder Game:
The following is actually a browser game. I initially thought you could download it (don't ask me why, lol), but i'm leaving it up until I can get around to transferring it to the browser games thread
It's all about Fluid Dynamics in a Particle Sandbox... :)

You do need java installed to play the game.

You’ll find links to several other physics based games to the right of the main page when you follow the fun motion link for hammerfall (above). Toribash is a promising game that I played around with earlier ths year. It won awards at the IGF (Independent Gaming Festival) earlier this year. Also try Armadillo Run, which isn’t freeware, but it’s worth trying out the demo. The graphics are not up to today’s standards, but the game play is unbeatable, so much so that I bought this game just before my main computer went on the blink yesterday. Thankfully, I always keep my Emails that contain the serials on a ftp so any computer crash wont affect my ownership of a serial.
