   I thought I'd resurrect this thread because I always find it difficuly finding the thread HOSS created which easn't placed in the gamers thread.

   I found out about the following browser game while researching Mirrors Edge with a view to buying the PC version of the game. It's called Mirrors Edge 2D and will also be available for download in the near future. It's based on the recently released game Mirrors Edge.

   I did find one download for the 2D version of Mirror's edge. but it was really slow at around 3Kb per second. I eventually got it, but as yet it's only 1 level in size, though when the game is completed there will be a lot more levels and it will still be free.

   It reminds me of a mod you can get for Unreal Tournament 3 that converts the game into a 2D platformer and theres another that makes it look like a mario game, but you still get the UT characters. If you've got Unreal Tournament just go to filefront and or Google Unreal Tournament 2D (the file name is UT2D v2)

   After a refreshing sleep I managed to find the link that enables you to download the Mirrors edge 2D game. You will have to click on the Or download with very slow speed link at the bottom of the page:

   The file is only 4.5Mb in size, but the download speed is around 3Kb per second, so it will take some time (This is using a 10Mb Broadband connection). I've just ordered the DVD based game after checking out several you tube videos of game play. This little 2D flash version really does give a god impression of the main game. As I said above it will be released as a full version game sometime this year. I don't know how long the level is, but if you want something a little different (isn't everthing,lol)even for one level #I think it's worth the hassle of waiting for it to complete.
