I thought a nice chance of pace would be in order after yesterdays epic role playing game, Realms of Arkania. Today you get to be involved in the music business, either by being a whiz guitarist or a cool disco DJ.……..
The second game is still a work in progress and the download is really just to showcase the game. If you think you’ll like it, it will be worthwhile book marking the site so that you can check back to see if and when it’s completed.
I thought it would be nice to post these two together as they seem complementary. They are ‘Frets on Fire’ and ‘That Disco Thing’. The former downloads as an installable executable, whereas That Disco Thing has no installer yet, so you will have to unzip the file to a new folder then place that were you want it to go (don’t forget to name the folder), then create a short cut from the unpacked game exe (which is an orange and blue icon):

That Disco Thing (4.02MB)
There are no reviews, screen captures, or videos, nor any information about this game as yet. Though I think it’s actually a tester for a 3D engine called Blender rather than a game. It’s really just a showcase for a future release, but, as I said in the introduction, I thought it would complement today’s main game. The graphics are pretty good so I’ll be keeping my eye open for future developments.
If you’re not interested in it, do check out the page though because there’s another game (plus some other stuff to mess around with) that looks interesting called FrontierCity which is just over 4Mb in size. You’ll also find that space invaders game I posted details of during the first week of this project.
I’ll have a great 3D puzzle game tomorrow that Idahl originally posted in these forums 8 months ago, which has got buried amongst the hundreds of other posts in the games discussion forums. It’s actually hidden within an unrelated post, so I thought it worth adding to the weekday games project.
