Well, I hope you fellow gamers survived the lack of a game giveaway today. I know the ones I posted were no substitute for a fully fledged arcade game, but there were some excellent ones in my opinion, that are well worth keeping on your computers (if you bothered to download them). Anyway, I have another five days of good freeware games for you all. I’m changing the way I name the thread though; and will now include the name of the game that I’m posting about rather than just calling it "day such and such". That is unless there is more than one game, and then it’ll depend on the game titles. There 'may' be at least one day this week where I’ll be posting links to more than one game; but, as with last weeks, if there is more than one game posted on any one particular day, it will be variations of the same game. I hope everyone found their favorite version of Space Invaders from the five I posted last week.
It would be really nice if you gave some feed back on the quality of the games, or whether or not you found them worth downloading, and will you be keeping any of them? Thank you

Today’s game is that old favorite Island Wars. This is the abandon ware version of the game. That is, it was originally a commercial game, but has since been made free by the developer. If you really like this game you can buy the totally updated Island Wars 2 via the same address as I’ve given for the first one. The updated one has had a total re-working of the games engine as well as an improved AI (artificial intelligence), new game types and new bonuses. However, this free one is still an excellent game to have, especially as it's 'totally free'. I hope you like it.

I did make a video and upload it to You Tube, but somehow it recorded the game in a window, which makes it only a quarter of the size it should be. Three quarters of the screen shows my desk top. If you want to see it, then Google You Tube – Island Wars. The video starts off with a view of the Grand Canyon, with a orange sunset, so it will easily be seen amongst the other hits. However I don’t think it’s worth searching. I’d delete it, but haven’t figured out how to yet, lol.
