The electronic bits which made up my Rise of Atlantis game have died. i did not know that playing it for hours a day, every day, would prove fatal. I have passed severe withdrawal and am entering despair which will land me in a rubber room. Is there any chance that the game will be re-offered soon, soon, soon??!! I am begging you!

I don’t understand what you mean by the electronics have died??? The game is purely scripted code. The following may help to appease your withdrawals, but if you feel that bad about it; you could always write to the developer of the game and explain that you can’t afford to buy the game, but are hooked, so would they give you a reg code. It’s always worth a try. (Seriously)
You can get some games that are similar to The Rise of Atlantis for free from both Gametop and FreeGamePick:

When closing all these games down your browser will be opened to the home page, but all you have to do is click on the X and it closes with no repercussions. I’ve tested all the games and they are clean of viri and other malware, though some games from these distributors will ask to change your browser settings. If you miss the check box and find you browser has been diverted, just right click on the internet icon and right click, select internet properties and click on default page from the home page section.

Dear Stephen,
I should have known you would be the one to come to my aid. Dead electronic bits are the only way i can describe what happened. The game started to falter, become jerky, freeze and one day just stopped running. nothing i,or my son, has done has caused it to reappear.
I shall follow your advice and try the above mentioned games but i doubt they will match the excitement of Atlantis. Just the sight of the billowing sail in the Phoenicia section was all i needed to fill me with anticipation.
Thank you again, JJCPosted 16 years ago # -

Thank you so very much for the trouble you went to to provide me with links to the Rise of Atlantis. I have tried them both ( not wanting to play online,SusanIam, Thank you, anyway) and the strangest thing happens. I open Rise, hit "play now" on the page presented and the page blanks and turns into the "I quit" page as the Atlantis people thank me for playing. Needless to say, this does not help my addiction and I cannot figure out what is going wrong, so I guess I shall suffer, but probably not in silence.
