I know, nobody likes or wants Vista - but I have it.
Has anybody experience with Python on Vista?
Tried to install PySol on Vista Home Premium, but nothing happened, not even an error message.
PySol is a wonderful game collection; have it on my XP system and would like to have it on the new puter too.

Knowing next to nothing, I don't dare to mess around with any further installations.

Hi Graylox, didn't know about this game so I've just downloaded the fanclub edition via your link. Installed on Vista HP ok. plays ok I just get an error message when I close it down
PySolFC: WARNING: invalid theme name: xpnative
but it starts up again and plays. could be your copy is corrupted or not up to date?
There's an awful lot of games isn't there?Posted 16 years ago # -
Hi, mikerb, have you installed Python before or only this game? I have got my copy from that link, so it must be the same as yours.
The collection is incredible, I'll try it again.-----------------EDIT---------------------------------------------------------
YEAH, it's working !
Got the same error message. But the games play with me :)))Posted 16 years ago # -

WOW!!! for people who enjoy solitaire games (mahjong, or card based), this is fantastic.
I do have python installed on Vista (as well as tcl which it uses) so can't say how it will function without it. A lot of great stuff in there though. Lots of good games for the solitaire fan. Thanks a bunch

Hi, Brad, yes I love this collection too. The installation seems to have enough Python in the baggage. But I want to have Python for other tools too, so can you please give me the link to the Vista-fitting installation?
Since I have this new puter my old one is quite bitchy and wouldn't even start. I think I'll have to have a serious word with him ;)
