The only one I have like that is Grand Theft Auto Vice City, although I think San Andreas is also of the same mould.

GTA and GTA2 are completely FREE. Old, but fun.

I've not played the two early ones for years. I may just dig them out of the cuboard to play them, lol. They aren't like the later cerions that are third or first personnviews, instead they are top down views, but you do get a sizeable city to explore. I bought my copies before they became free.

Durned, you beat me to it, bowlby4.. But I have to agree with both of you, in that the GTA series seems to be the only ones that fulfill Niloy's requirements .

You can get the free ones from several sites.
I posted about them together with lots of other free games in a previous post. Which you can read by following this link:

They probably want to send someone around to blow up your letterbox.
Give them the address of that cranky old man who lives down the street (Who still won't return your football that went over the fence). He'll thank you for it - if he ever works out who gave out his address. Besides, everyone loves to receive mail - including old people who never leave the house.
Otherwise he will appreciate all of the junk mail advertising their latest gang fighting, car stealing bonanza and discounts on their bargain-bin back catalog.

Read the offer carefully. Sometimes they make it look like your stats are a requirement for the download, but throughout the process there is no message stating that you won't get the goodies if you leave the entries blank.

Niloy, personally speaking, I prefer to do my raping, burning and pillaging in real time, but our local SWAT team snipers are getting way too darn accurate for my taste.
These little shockwave games are tame, probably nowhere big, bold and messy enough for you wild and crazy Crysis players; nevertheless, I find them to be entertaining time sucks. They're free and they're interactive, so for an old geezer who fondly remembers playing PacMan (standing in a corner of a grocery store at 2AM for an hour at a time for 25-cents/game), things like Miniclips are a satisfactory diversion.
I came across this first one years ago and still take delight with option #2 - Hostage Rescue scenario - there's something about dropping the bad guys from a stand-off position that appeals at a very visceral level. :-)
War on Terrorism: http://www.miniclip.com/games/war-on-terrorism/en/Niloy, according to your expressed desire to burn and maim, this seems right up your alley (or main street, as the case may be).
Ant City: http://www.ebaumsworld.com/games/play/804/Just found this one. For some reason, the missile guidance system doesn't like my computer, but it's still amusing.
Trech: http://www.miniclip.com/games/trech/en/This 3-parter requires logic as well as a trigger finger.
Terrain: Chapter 1: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/92229As some of you know, I've been looking for a fractal-based VR navigational "game"...
this little thing is incredibly primitive by comparison and proves my hand/eye coordination is hardwired differently than the up/down arrow keys.
3D Tunnel Game: http://www.ebaumsworld.com/games/play/799/Sorry if this post should have been put on Bubby's newer Point & Click game thread... all these threads are confusing little old me, and FreewareFan has caused several of my Need2Download folders to burst. Cheers!
