As said before by another user of this site, when you try to activate the software with the key provided by GAOTD, the result is "Activation failed". I tried it with windows 8 32 and with windows 7 ultimate 64 without luck. Can somebody help?

Same problem happened to me. I have both Win7 Home and Pro. GAOTD team please help!!

Win7 Pro, same problem. "Activation failed".

Glad I'm not alone with this problem :)
Win8.1 64bit!

The same thing happened to me.
The installer said it would install the Trial Edition. After I installed and ran the product I clicked the Activate button, entered the code which was apparently recognized as valid since the message below the code changed to say that the Professional Edition would be activated, but when I click the Activate button at the bottom of that dialog I just get an Activation Failed message box.
I tried activating multiple times, then I tried reinstalling multiple times, uninstalling and rebooting in between. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, fully patched.
I have previously installed and activated several versions of the same product, all from giveawayoftheday.com. This install removed the previous version, 9.1, that was installed, so now I have lost my previously installed and activated version.
Thanks for any help,
LarryPosted 10 years ago # -
My experience was exactly the same as LarryF's. Installed and uninstalled multiple times with no luck. The first time I installed, it uninstalled my previous version 9.3 of the program, which I have now lost. I have previously installed and activated many GAOTD programs but have never experienced this problem.
I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, fully patched.
Thanks,
Rick

The same here. After installing as trial version I tried to activate by using registration key as supplied, although the message below turned green, the activation failed - can a new activation key be supplied please? (Did EaseUS perhaps decide they have given away enough of their Partition Managers for the day?) My system is Windows 7 Professional fully updated.
Can you please help with a working activation key, Giveawayoftheday.Thanks.

I also have the same problem.
I tried both a reboot and a second installation but the result was the same..."Activation failed".
My OS is Windows7 Pro 64 bit. I often use this program, but my previous version has now been deleted.
Is there a solution to this?Posted 10 years ago # -
Same here. I even got a screen with a confirmation code, that I suppose I had to send the code to an email with a hardware key, but I tried to activate it again and was never able to get it back. Please help GAOTD! We want to use this soft to the fullest!

Okay, I have been able to install on the machine where I had the problem.
I went to the EaseUS web site and started an online chat, specifying a pre-sales chat for Partition Master. When I said I was installing the giveawayoftheday version and described the problem, the customer service representative immediately gave me a new code to use (so fast he must have already had one ready to past in), and that worked. Unfortunately, when I asked, he said it was a one time use code that I could not post here, nor could I use it on more than one machine if the GOTD code did not work on other machines (I have a number of computers at home and usually install products like this on all of them.)
So now, for my other machines with an older version of Partition Master already installed, I don't dare try to install 10.0 since if it fails to activate I will end up with nothing.

Same "Activation failed" message for me too.
Very frustrating to have lost the previous 9.3 version in the process, right when I needed to use this software.
Looks like I'll have to check out one of the new free apps listed by Giovanni on the download page!.

Based on what Larry posted I'd think that EaseUS simply allocated X number of activations, & when that was exceeded, turned off the tap. That would be consistent with a prior experience I had with a EaseUS giveaway on another site -- had to fill in a request on EaseUS' site, & never did get a response, despite trying 4 or 5 e-mail addresses using different e-mail servers -- I've never had all of them block an e-mail in the past or since, so I assume EaseUS never sent it. If it was a server problem then I would think the EaseUS rep would have said something along those lines, to try with other hardware later. And from the logs it does appear to contact their server for activation.
Reading this thread I tried it several times in different VMs, trying different things, all with no joy. I have this version already installed so I can't really say anything with accuracy about activating in my regular win7 install.

Wow. All those people downloading trial software and thinking they are getting a give away. giveawayoftheday will not post any comments on the download page warning people. I learned a lesson about this site today.

The comments passing through moderation can be a bit iffy after 10 AM EDT or so -- US moderation isn't done by GOTD employees AFAIK.
The GOTD team itself is sometimes hesitant to post info on a problem until they have a solution to give you. Generally in a case like this they'll try for a re-run, though EaseUS has to cooperate obviously.

though EaseUS has to cooperate obviously.
I think GOTD and EaseUS are cooperating quite nicely with each other.

I would like to think this is a EaseUS 'glitch' rather than them pulling the plug early on registrations. Anyone downloading this program at the moment will end up with NO version of EaseUS partition software if the previous versions are uninstalled.
Not good business practice, and it would certainly make you wary of using any of their other software if this is indeed a deliberate act.

GOTD has the most to lose, & judging by their reactions in the past when something like this happened, the GOTD team had nothing to do with it.
I can't say anything about EaseUS. I don't know them -- have never dealt with them as a customer -- have never posted anything in their forums etc. I would think it reasonable if their sales dept. got an OK for X number of activations, & I would think it reasonable if their tech folks set the activation server to only work up to that number -- the trial & the GOTD seem identical, & they don't want people using that serial number for the next several days, weeks, months. In that scenario they simply guessed too low with the number of activations.
Could it be something more than that? Certainly. While retailers tend to be retailers, bending over backwards for customers, tech companies are very often different, especially the one's in Asia, e.g. South Korea or China. Their definition of unthinkable is often different than yours. What they feel is their responsibility is often different than what you might think they're responsible for. In this case somebody could have felt enough was enough, or maybe they saw signs of piracy & thought they'd put a stop to it? Without info we're likely never to get, one guess is as good as another I suppose.

Wish I'd read this thread before uninstalling my old version, got a new hard drive coming tomorrow as well...

I tried LarryF's solution, but they have the chat turned off now. :( I guess we're out of luck. 9 hours to go to activate the program.
Posted 10 years ago # -
Well, for everyone!, To enable EPM Pro 10.0, then you have to do as Larry did before, go to their website, enter the live chat and ask for a valid key, the customer service will give you a good key without problems. At this point, I think it is the only way to get the program fully functional, because the GAOTD´s team has not said a word until now about how we (or they) can solve this problem.
Goodbye friends!.Posted 10 years ago # -
Doesn't work. They have chat live chat greyed out. I sent them an email, but no response.
Posted 10 years ago # -
Same problem. Win 7 Pro fully patched.
Posted 10 years ago # -
Windows XP sp3
"Activation Failed" also. Uninstalling it.

Hello, I haven't been online for some hours and didn't notice that there are such problems with today's giveaway.
I'm sorry, that I can't help you, but I notified the GOTD team.
Not sure what happened with the comments, though.Normally after such problems there will be a rerun after a few days.

I recommend that all of you do this.Posted 10 years ago # -
I have tried.... Haven't heard from them yet. Been a couple of hours.

Maybe one of these will help under the circumstances?
Paragon's free version
http://www.paragon-software.com/home/pm-express/Aomei's free version
http://www.disk-partition.com/A new to me tool recommended in other's posts
http://sharewareonsale.com/s/minitool-partition-wizard-pro-freebie-saleThe ol' standby, GParted
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/Also, while these free versions may be more limited, if you use my strategy with partition image backups you won't need too much from any partition app. As others have pointed out, there's always the partitioning built into Windows, and if you still have the bootable discs/USB sticks from the prior version of Partition Master, no reason why those wouldn't continue to work.
