   Terraria has just been released on Steam; you can find details HERE. It’s a 2D version of Minecraft, with all the features of Minecraft apart from the 3D perspective and it's got more monsters than Minecraft :) The game costs £5.99 and is well worth the price for what you get (IMO). (I paid about the same for an alpha copy of Minecraft; one of the bargains of the year as far as I’m concerned, especially now with all the mods that have been released for the game)

   Dig, fight, explore, build! Nothing is impossible in this action-packed adventure game. The world is your canvas and the ground itself is your paint.

   

   

   Grab your tools and go! Make weapons to fight off a variety of enemies in numerous biomes. Dig deep underground to find accessories, money, and other useful things. People will move in to live there and perhaps even sell you different wares to assist you on your journey.

   I also got the Alpha of Minecraft and I spent about 30% more than the $10 they want for this. However, I have an enormous backlog. Think I will wait for a sale on this one. Still, thanks for the info WR. Now I will keep my eye open for future sales.

   Damn, I purchased a four pack but have just given the last one away. It's well worth the money though. I do the same thing Chazzo. My wife thinks having just a few games should be enough If she knew I have a few thousand commercial titles and as many freeware ones hmmm, doesn't bear thinking about. Though I secretly suspect she knows. She's been fantastic since the accident. Being stuck in the house has seen my game and video collections grow till there's no room for thempboards and shelves are stuffed. Thanks to Steam I've been buying digital downloads for the past 2 years otherwise I'd have had to convert the garage into a storage facility, lol.

   This is definitely a game worth buying,m packed with masses of game play. If you like this you'll love minecraft as well.

   Campy, I'm sure it'll be in the summer sale in a few months, but if not I bet it'll have a hefty reduction when the Christmas sales come around. I'd purchased new indie games only weeks before the Christmas sale last year and found most of them were reduced to a fraction of their normal price over the Christmas sale. Apart from the big boys such as Call of Duty Black Ops and very few other titles, most games soon reduce in price. I just wish I had the will power to wait for the price to drop instead of getting the games on pre-order. The extra content that you often get when pre-ordering is always solcost several months later anyway. :)

   WR, I have an very large storage room downstairs, an office full of games and large catalogs on STEAM, Impulse and numerous downloads like GOG. My issue is what to play next. Money really isn't an issue. I have a Scotch heritage (way back) so I don't see want to save wherever I can. Sometimes I have trouble holding off too. However, already having a large number of choices, many of them never played, makes it easier. Similarity to Minecraft which I have played a lot makes me want this, but also makes me feel like I can wait.
