For the next week we will be getting great deals off EA games which started yesterday with the Dragonage Origin and Dragonage II games. That sale is now over and we have the last three games in the Need for Speed franchise.

They have already released details of the next one in the series called Need for Speed: The Run, where you race from San fransisco to New york. It looks brilliant and is due for release in november 2011; I an't wait.

• Need for Speed: Undercover – 75% off – £3.75 (approx. $5)

• Need for speed: Shift – 66% off - £5.10 (approx. $8)

• Need for speed: Hot Pursuit – 50% off - £14.99 (approx. $22)

All three games are brilliant. The latest one Need for Speed Shift 2 isn’t included in the deal, but that was only released a few weeks ago. (Brilliant game - better than last years Need for Speed: Shift IMO. There has been two released over the last year. Hot Pursuit was released around 6 months ago and is a rehash of the original that was released about 8 years ago.

There will be a new set of games tomorrow. Be sure to get at least one of the above. All are beautiful looking games. If you say you are rubbish at racing games then I advise getting Need for Speed: shift. The game has an innovative system that allows even the most novice of drivers win their races. You have to do a race at the beginning of the game. On the basis of your performance the AI is adjusted so that it is similar to your own skill. I was never any good at racing games, partly because until recently I couldn’t afford a decent steering wheel with force feedback. I always had problems going around corners in a race situation because of the all or nothing nature of the keyboard. When I bought the first Shift back in Nov 2009, I was amazed. I really felt like I was winning, but still had a challenge. The game is being given away virtually for free. The cost is less than the cost of an arcade game. Need for Speed; Undercover was also a great game. You get a large map to explore in an open world fashion. There are points in the game where you can accept challenges from the games AI or play online against real people. It was similar to Test drive unlimited in that respect, but much better. It took me over 5 minutes to race a complete circuit around the periphery of the map, so you can imagine how big it is.

The above videos give a much better idea what you are getting for your money. Honestly, all the deals are fabulous, even the 50% off one. If you want an open world racer you can get NFS: Undercover for $5, which is amazing. There's many hours of fun to be had from all three games. I've literally been on the edge of my seat with excitement when playing these games. The cars look almost real, and with games like Shift you really feel like you are in the race; especially if you use the cockpit view. Amazing games, fabulous prices. Let me know what you think after you've bought one or more of them. :)

This deal only lasts for 24 hours... already 2 or 3 hours are passed at 19.25 GMT..... so hurry while the deal lasts. :) (p.s. i'm not getting a cut, I just think those deals are the best you'll get for a few more years.

If you don't have these games then you have to get them; especially for this price. I've never seen them so cheap before. You can get the original Crysis (released just over 3 years ago, with cutting edge graphic that bring the jungle almost to lifes and a damage engine that allows you to blast buildings to bits. The games are very well supported by the modding community, so once you've completed the main game there's many extra's to download to keep you entertained. If you ever played the Doom 3 games then you'll get an idea as to what to expect with this game. It's suspensful and scary. The first time I was attacked I nearly jumped out of my skin, lol The Dead Space games.

I've posted these games a little late. The last day of the sale is approaching fast with only about 3 hours to go before we see EA's final offering. I'm wondering whether they will offer all the games that have gone before a second time? We shall see. :)

This is the last day of the Electronic Arts sale. We have two franchises for sale - though neither is complete because they are both missing some of the franchise that mainly includes the earlier games in the series (e.g. Medal of Honour : Allied Assault (with expansions), Medal of Honour: Pacific Assault or Battlefield 2042, Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield: Vietnam; all of which are superb games even though graphically they are now rather dated . Medal of Honour was one of the first ‘decent’ FPS games I ever purchased together with the first Call of Duty gams and a couple of Vietnam titles ((Line of sight: Vietnam and Elite Warriors: Vietnam) , though I did buy a few before that, but they were pretty much trash ( a Pearl Harbour title and some others, can’t remember their names anymore). Anyway, onto the actual deals. There’s only about 6 hours left to run on these deals. I was too involved in moderating yesterday’s game giveaway and forgot about the EA deals until this morning.

This is an amazing game. Die hard FPS fans said this was better than the Call of duty Modern Warfare phenomenon. Beautifully made game, though not in the tradition of the usual open world battlefield games. The game has destructible environments, so don’t hide in a building when there are tanks around a syou’ll still get blasted, lol. You’ll require a decent system for this one. I played this game for three years virtually every day to the exclusion of most other games. There’s a massive set of free mods and maps (well over a thousand if you know where to look for them) Some of the mods are still active and the single player fraternity are still going strong over on the Battlefield single player site. When this was released it was ground breaking stuff. You can wander around in massive maps anywhere you wish to go, fly jets and choppers as well as boats submarines, armoured vehicles such as Humvees, tanks and other armour. Some of the vehicles such as the submarine was created by modders (available in the Nations at war mod). If you decide to purchase this game and want information on which mods to bother with let me know. I have virtually every mod and map ever created by the modding community for this fantastic game. The booster packs mentioned below are actually free now. They were included in the latest patch that was released last year (patch v1.5). Of all of the games in todays sale I’d say get this one. It’s got so much to offer and is cheap to.

Ever since Call of duty: Modern Warfare was released the Medal of honour series has been overshadowed. The previous title to this one 9see below) was Medal of Honour: airborne. It was released a couple of weeks before Call of duty: Modern warfare and then Crysis, both of which were blockbusters. Within several weeks the price of Airborne had dropped to less that half price. An unprecedented drop at a time before the economic crisis. The same has happened to this game as well. Call of duty; Black Ops was released only weeks after this game and again it got overshadowed. In my opinion wrongly so. The game stands on it’s own as a superb FPS game and is well worth purchasing. It has a different feel to it that the Call of duty games. I think it’s marvellous.

Apart from the expansions (none of which are standalones, this is the cheapest game of the lot and well worth purchasing. The start of the game is very dramatic. It portrays the ill-fated Market garden mission that turned into a farce for the allied troops. You start the game by parachuting from a plane (very similar to the original Medal of Honour game) into a small town at night. You can control your decent to land anywhere within the theatre of operations. What I like about this game compared to Modern Warfare was it didn’t feel like a linear game (though it was) compared to modern warfare that was obviously linear.
